Reviews on Italian food in Erlangen, Bavaria, Germany. About 10 miles north of Nuremberg, Erlangen is the home of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Friedrich-Alexander-University), founded in 1742. Just over 100,000 people live here, about a third of whom are involved with the university; about another third work for the Siemens corporation. Bergkirchweih, Erlangen’s annual festival - akin to Munich’s Oktoberfest - opens in a different beer cellar every year and is attended by over a million people in its twelve-day run around Pentecost.

Although essentially a pizza delivery service (reliable, tasty, fast) even eating in the place is a very good price for value experience. Interesting for a pizza place, there is also spaghetti available that tastes better than in many "real" Italian restaurants in the city.

Start coming here a lot this summer, besides its convenient location. Its weekdays menu is far beyond than just being worthwhile, the dishes are arranged in each day in a sense of very well balances...protein, fiber, starch...of course they are super delicious Needless to say, its services are same as its menu, being worthy

A blazing fire in each of the 3 partially separated rooms, live piano music and candle light atmosphere paired with family-like + personal + very friendly and efficient service (even the chef comes out and serves some of the courses) topped by mouth-watering variety of food accompanied by rich selection of wines and all that at unbeatable prices, in Buechenbach??? I thought this sounds like a good joke but my parents were right!I cannot wait to return in August and share this experience with my wife and kids, the fires might not be lit as it will be summer then.

We stumbled upon this gem when the restaurant we were aiming for had closed their kitchen (it was quite late).Friendly staff, great food, generous serves, pleasant ambiance, complimentary bruschetta at the start and aperitif at the end. It was very quiet because I think the rest of the entire country was busy watching the European Championship Soccer on tv!Our family went back to dine 3 days later and were just as impressed. They recognised us and were very chatty - even helping my daughter practice some Italian (the owners are Italian). I asked them to recommend a dish and some wine and was thrilled with my meal - the pasta with creamy mushroom sauce and truffle (which they grated at the table) together with the Verdicchio white wine was to die for and gave my whole family plate envy - although no-one had any complaints about their own meals either. I am very happy to recommend this centrally located delightful restaurant.

My family and I were visiting Erlangen on business trip. We found this restaurant on Yelp. Very good food and atmosphere. We were able to sit outside in the back garden. Waiter spoke only Italian (at least to us from US). I would definitely go back here. In fact this was probably our favorite restaurant in Erlangen.

Quite small and very full but I managed to get a seat at the bar overlooking the chefs working. They recommended the courses and a glass of wine (or 2) for me and I was not disappointed. Wonderful tastes, very simple but effective, and I watched them cook it from start to plate. Certainly worth a visit back when I am in Erlangen next. Very very much enjoyed.

We visited the Modo Mio for the first time since the refurbishment, the quality was good before, its even better now. Congratulations to the entire team, food great, service excellent, and the aesthetic refurb looks first class!

After reading the reviews here, we were ecstatic to try the five course meal in this restaurant. The moment we entered, we were impressed by how friendly and funny the servers were. They merrily explained to us that the menu's a surprise, but we could tell them what we don't eat.Sadly, the food did not live up to the hype. The truffle pasta was the best of the night, but the beef and lamb were way, way overcooked. The rest of the food I cannot even recall as they were quite unforgettable. This is a pricey restaurant. A five course meal costs 69 euros and it does not include any beverages. Although the service was fantastic, we will never return.

Delicious Neapolitan style pizza! Really one of the best I have eaten (and Iâve been to Italy and specifically Napoli many times). Great choice of fresh toppings to add to this delight. Young and vibrant place, but also plenty of room to sit outside quietly.Great quick service, kind staff. Please do yourself a favor and visit here!
