Things to do in Epernay
Bought a couple of 'senior' sized pizzas, to share amongst 4 adults. Both were simple, but tasty. Also bought a bottle of rosé and two bottles of beer. Eur35.
I was in Moussy for my son's wedding to his French Fiancee. We were in a gite at the venue and the day before we had a gang of family for an al fresco meal. We bought salads at the supermarket along with plenty of beer and wine and needed a place to buy pizza. le kiosque a pizzas is in the car park of the local Aldi store, but don't let that put you off. It is brightly finished and appeared to be immaculately clean. The staff were friendly and cheerfully put together my order for pizza for forty. The pizzas were excellent, enjoyed by all, and although I thought I might have bought too many, there wasn't much left. The pizzas were a good part of a lovely family celebration before the main event the following day. Thank you to the lovely pizza chefs!

On a warm evening we decided that we only wanted a quick dinner, and La Pizzetta wa perfect. We were the only people eating in, but they were extremely busy with deliveries, so this place is undoubtedly popular. The pizzas were delicious, and the apple pie for dessert is also recommended. And good value for money too!

Stumbled across this restaurant accidentally and lucked in as a result. Cafe type layout and atmosphere with 5* food, wine and service. The set menu was an absolute treat as was the recommended champagne - Voirin-Desmoulins from nearby Chouilly. Had a delightful evening. Highly recommended.

This was the only place we could find to eat while in Ay/Epernay without reservation. It's lovely looking place unless you don't have reservation. Upstairs is beautiful with views very inviting. Downstairs not so much. Big room with no views or anythings for that matter other than tables. They squeezed us in a small table against a wall. It's Italian and I had that the night before so I tried the steak. It was a steak but that's all I can say. My wife's pasta was ok nothing to brag about. The service was ok. I wouldn't say they were unfriendly but I wouldn't say they were friendly either. They did their job. I guess it's my fault for not making reservation but I honestly didn't think I would need one the time of year we visited. Live and learn. If I ever visit Epernay again probably wouldn't visit here again.
