Freshly Made Pizzas, Pastas, Salads, & Soups. Our House Made Pesto Vinaigrette Is Amazing! We Offer Beer & Wine. To-Go or Dine In.
We ordered a 12"-inch Greek pizza and a 12"-inch Pizza Primavera and they stated that they would be ready in 15 minutes. Arrived 5 minutes later and the pizzas were not ready. Not ready for another 15 minutes during which time no apology was offered and actually nothing by way of customer friendliness. I finally got my pizzas and brought them to our lodgings in Taos. The pizzas, heaped with mounds of just the right amount of vegies was superb, excellent - some of the best pizza we have ever eaten, second only on this trip to Santa Fe's Upper Crust pizza and, to be honest, BETTER than 98.5% of all New York pizzas and having lived in NYC for 13 years I have had my share of supposed legendary pizzas. Out Back's were every bit as good and actually much better than most of these NYC pizzas. Too bad about the lax service - a simple offer of a "sorry" and/or glass of water would have made everything fine. Thanks for the nice details on the quality of the product.Hope your in again soon.

First of all, we have never had such a good antipasto...a meal in itself....DELICIOUS...assortment of cheeses, olives, peppers, turkey, ham,salami...loved the dressing....it was the best. And the pizza was like the kind we grew up with in Connecticut...nice dry crust...none of that oily stuff

My husband and I made reservations on a Thursday night, but they were not needed. In fact, the indoor space and patio, were never more than half full. The indoor environment is very nice with dimmed lighting, cloth napkins, classy silverware, "Italian" background music and old fashioned candles burning and dripping down the sides of chianti bottles. The menu offers a nice variety of pastas, pizza, salads and desserts. Prices are standard for Taos. There were also three specials. My ravioli filled with squash was outstanding. The flavors were unlike any I'd had before. My husband's spicy chicken pasta was equally good with complex flavors. Each meal came with a small slice of tasty bruschetta. Our dinner salad was a disappointment as it was a bowl of greens with two slices of anemic looking tomatoes for $7. The wine list is relatively small and expensive. Now, the service. There was one wait person for both the patio and indoors. There was also a young man pouring water and clearing tables. An older gentleman who I believe was the owner, helped out occasionally but was aloof. We were asked once about our food, but there was no conversation, no small talk, nothing to connect us with the place. It felt strange - almost like you'd walked into a place that was empty and had dinner by yourself. So even though the food was good, Stella's could be so much better if it focused on the customer. More servers would probably help along with the owner making an attempt to converse with the patrons. The food was excellent but the experience could have been better.

The food was really good but the service was really slow. It took a while to be seated and there were plenty of tables open. Once we got seated it took awhile to get a drink/food order. The food, once arrived, was really good. Would recommend for food but not if you are looking for good service.

We are in Taos for a bridge tournament, and went out to dinner at this restaurant this evening after today's play. The dining room was very nice, the food ditto, the prices ditto. Negatives would be that parking was difficult and service was slow, but I think service is slow most places now because of the tight labor market. We would happily go back.
