Find out what Italian restaurants to try in El Calafate. Building on its must-visit location, the once-tiny El Calafate has grown quickly to cater to and profit from the visitors to nearby Los Glaciares National Park. Many visit to see such natural wonders as Perito Moreno Glacier, a massive glacier that’s actually composed of many other pieces of shifting ice. Yet travelers will find that El Calafate is much more than merely a gateway to the Patagonian wild—it’s a fun town offering all sorts of outdoor adventures.

Restaurant Don Vittorio located in the city of Calafate, Argentina. We offers a great menu of regional food & fresh pasta. Also, we have the best menu of wines & coctails of the city

Hosteria La Estepa Restaurante combines all you need to enjoy a good meal. We got a great view to "Lago Argentino", an Argentine wine list with the food of our Chef Esteban Papasergio. The menu we have is based on typical Argentine dishes, with Patagonic
Per my earlier review of this hotel and as indicated there I believe we simply ordered the wrong items from the menu. We had trout, it was over cooked, the ham wrap was burned to the fish skin and the vegetables were floating in oil / fat. We left most of it. However it has to be said that several diners close to us had great steaks and other local dishes and so I would be happy to say that maybe we just got the wrong dish on the wrong night and the fact the restaurant is attached to the hotel makes it an ideal spot to have dinner. The views from the restaurant are great and the staff are very good.

We are a vegetarian, vegan and healthy fast food trade
Almost entire menu is plant based food, there was 1 chicken wrap on menu. Veggie sandwiches, wraps, pastas, lasagne, shepherds pie, burgers; eat in or take away. They also offer pizza bases, packets of uncooked pasta and jars of sauce, and other cooking ingredients.Indoor and outdoor seating, bathroom, close to bus station. Only place Iâve seen so far that sells almond milk. Very friendly staff, would definitely visit again.

This is a great little family run Italian influenced restaurant using yummy Patagonian food and vegetables. All the pasta is made in the restaurant and the sources are fantastic, this is one of those very rare places where it the food tastes so good its l
This is a great find and well out of the tourist trail. Menu is only pasta and pizza and pasta is home made. Very tasty and a nice change if you have had enough of meat! The service is super friendly and attentive for such a small and unassuming place. Highly recommended.

Pros:- Nice and warm inside on a cold day- Beef empanadas- friendly waitressCons:- Service a little slow- average food for the priceFamily of 4 with 2 children. We chose this restaurant for its close proximity to our hotel. It was nice and warm inside for a cold winter day. Friendly waitress but seemed to be the only staff working. We ordered 2 hamburgers (large, kids ate them), a pizza (not marinara based, OK) a meat empanada (VERY tasty, best item we ordered) and a caprese empanada (OK, the moisture made the bottom soggy). We had an OK experience but will explore other restaurants in the area.

The starter we had was very good (fried and filled ravioli). Afterwards we all had a big pizza with different toppings. The main topping was definitely cheese so the others werenât that good to taste. The beer was good (Patagonia Lager) and the service was friendly. If you take the price in comparison to the food quality, it was just an average restaurant I wouldnât recommend to someone else.

We had dinner here. Service and atmosphere were good, but the food was poor. The steak I ordered was of poor quality - very chewy and high in fat/gristle - almost impossible to cut with a steak knife. Serving poor quality steak (in Argentina of all places) is a cardinal sin. My wife's chicken was overcooked and bone dry. El Calafate is a tourist town and this restaurant is a tourist trap charging high prices for poor quality foodWould we eat here again - No
