It has a population of about 14,241 (2016). In the Habsburg Empire's Kingdom of Hungary, Kismarton (Eisenstadt) was the seat of the Eszterházy Hungarian noble family. The composer Joseph Haydn lived there as Hofkapellmeister under Esterházy patronage.

well the reputation of the place is extraordinary but the food does not come close to a fine Italian kitchen -the pasta is homemade but al dente means here really you need good teeth

We ordered 5 spritzers and that is what they brought us, but we actually thought we would get Aperols. So they changed it without any fuss. The pasta rigatoni was very good, and the icecream with wild berries delicious. Nice and firendly place.

Das Frühstück in der Cucina Nostra ist nicht nur für Gäste des Parkhotels zugängig. Unsere Reservierung wurde anscheinend übersehen. Aber es war genug gedeckt und Platz und wir konnten ohne weiteres Platz nehmen. Eine Bedienstete lümmelte in eine Legging an der Bar und unterhielt sich mit einer anderen Angestellten, was ich sehr unpassend fand. Nun zum Essen: Das NuÃbrot ist hervorragend. Es wird ein normales Frühstücksbuffet geboten mit weichen Eiern, Brot, Gebäck, Croissants, Marmelade, Butter, Margarine und Wurst, Käse, Säfte, Wasser und Kaffee oder Tee. Leider war der Kaffee schon vorbereitet und obwohl wir auÃer einem Hotelgast die einzigen Gäste waren, schon kalt. Als dann auch noch eine Bedienstete das Lokal zu saugen begann, fanden wir das nicht angebracht. Um ⬠12,00 ist das Frühstück aber sehr günstig.
