It is always a great pleasure to have dinner at Ristorante Mediterraneo ( written with double r). The welcoming is always warm and sincere. Staff is very friendly, hospitable professional (many years of experience) and atttentive. The menu list changes regurlarly and all dishes are very tasty, cooked with love. This time we had Vitello tonato, risotto with truffles, Branzini and cheese. You really do need to reserve a table, because it's always crowded, also on weekdays. Next time we are in Maastricht we will have dinner again in the Meditarreneo

We went for dinner to Gioâs again. As always it was very good. They have perfected the few dishes they serve and quality is perfect. Service as well, the team is very friendly. One point they could improve is what they serve for kids. It does not go further than tomato sauce pasta. Some creativity would be welcome.

Maastricht is really a pleasantly sweet townâ cobblestone roads weave through the townâs ancient architecture like a quaint stream through a field of greens. Brilliantly picturesque! So much so, a restaurant could serve microwave sandwiches and still get rave reviews from grateful tourists.But.Perhaps there are restaurants just-as-good...but I canât imagine better; il Bacaro is FANTASTIC. Firstly, the food was impeccable - wonderfully Italian fare or full flavors, butter and garlic - hard to go wrong but so hard to perfect at the same time. Our table ordered two spaghettis and flank steak to share between us...after the bruschetta âtrio.â...right now, itâs late and I simply canât figure out how to creatively brag about the quality and flavor of it all.However, there are two specific standouts: A. The lemon sorbet is fantastic - tart, sour and sweet...served in a canning jar (great presentation!). B. Renee (our Server). So welcoming of us three tired, hungry Americans; thank you for making our table space on the curb (letting us watch the city go leave their workday amidst a sunset behind the church spires). Thank you too for the excellent recommendations...and the kind gesture at the end. As the food is good, the service is even more so.Thank you and each of us vowed to return...and have shared photos of our experience with you; by now, theyâve traveled the world in your honor.Highly recommended.

We had a superb dinner, great service! Open just over two years, this modern trattoria has a warm ambiance, great food and a nice petite wine-list. Reasonably priced, always crowded: make a reservation so you can get a table in the front room facing l'Avenue du Pont.Highly recommended!

Petite pizzeria au look/ équipe assez jeune et dynamique. Choix de pizzas agréable sans être excessif. Deux formules possibles: soit une pizza normale, soit un assortiment de plus petites pizzas découpées (nous n'avons pas choisis cela mais je trouve l'initiative sympathique vu que vous pouvez en goûter plus grâce à cela).La pâte est bonne (même si trop gonflée à mon goût) et surtout, les ingrédients sur la pizza sont de qualité, cela se goûte tout de suite, notamment les fromages. Cela fait plaisir! Malgré ma remarque sur la pâte, cet endroit m'a plu et j y retournerai vu la qualité proposée.Point négatif: - le prix des softs pourrait être inférieur- et surtout le fait que les pizzas ne soient pas cuites au feu de bois (mais c'est en connaissance de cause vu qu'on voit les fours et que personne ne vous fait croire autre chose).

The setting at vino and friends is super comfortable laid back and wonderful. We loved the atmosphere and being made to feel so welcome with our very young daughter who went nuts for their home baked bread. Though the pasta selection was small and simple, we utterly loved the ravioli that we chose and our waiter turned us onto a nice glass of white wine that paired perfectly with it. And to make matters even better they have a tastefully decorated outdoor area if you are lucky enough to get a table outside on a sunny day. We will most certainly come back next time for one of their gorgeous looking steaks and a nice chianti

A proper locals restaurant that looks like it has been going for generations serving large portions of great food to the community. On the night we visited there was a local festival going and we only just managed to grab one of the last tables outside under the covered terrace watching everyone enjoying the evening sun in the closed off streets. They were still turning people away two hours later.We both ordered Pizza and mine was certainly one of the best Ive ever had, full of flavour, loaded with toppings and with a thin crispy base. However, unless you like things very greasy, do NOT order with added garlic oil as this did detract from my partners pizza.As with most restaurants outside France or the UK the concept of free tap water doesnt exist in Europe so expect to pay soft drink prices for bottled water. Restaurant is closed on Monday, Tuesday and rather strangely Saturday lunchtime.For a restaurant to have been going in the same family since 1966 they must be doing something right and this is definitely recommended!

Popped in for mid afternoon meal having looked at trip advisor prior to trip. Absolutely a gem tucked away down side street. Food was superb, service absolutely brilliant and all staff so helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend and not too expensive

My partner and I had a relaxing, fun and delicious dinner at L'appetito: the restaurant is located in a nicely renovated and attractive farm house in a charming little out of the way village just minutes south of Maastricht. The food is terrific with a wide choice of delicious home made pizzas and pastas, the appetizers were also very good with generous portions, and the prices, in our opinion, are reasonable considering that you are eating in a very pretty setting that is a cut-above your average "pizza place". Other nice touches are: easy parking either on site or around the corner in the village parking lot (all no charge), price friendly wines, and our waitress cheerfully packed up our left over pizza (we ordered too much....2 apps and 2 pizzas was simply too much food for the two of us...and we are big eaters) to take home. Everything was easy and pleasant.Note that while the service is very friendly and pleasant, the youngsters are not detail oriented - for example, it took forever to get a soft drink. And, the pizza kitchen does get backed up over the busy dinner hours so don't plan on a quick dinner. We look forward to returning.

Went to this restaurant with a walking package, having a tea/coffee with a pie and a lunch after a walk. The terrace is nice, as well as interior of the place. Food is good and was served fast.
