The food is excellent, hands down from what the group I was with said. I am Gluten Sensitive & at the time, this place was not accommodating so I had mussels and a salad Kindly sucks when you are with a group and they indulge & you have to split the bill. Ok - onto my review: The place is really SMALL & tables are too close together so if you like family style with people next to you - this is for you. THE NOISE FACTOR is nothing short of absolutely annoying. The night we were there the owner sang, great voice, however, with the place being packed and people talking it was truly a non-enjoyable night out. We could have done without his singing. Parking is on the street so prepare to walk on a Fri or Sat. There is a bakery connected to the restaurant which is really good. THE OWNER SHOULD INVEST IN SOME NOISE FILTERING products to put on the ceiling or walls to make this a more enjoyable dining experience. Also some GLUTEN FREE dishes would be encouraged since many people have this sensitivity especially when a person has a thyroid disease !!!

This restaurant is newly opened in the former location of Romanissimo. New owners - not the same owners as the previous restaurant
It was a birthday party, so we just went to enjoy the occasion. They have a large nicely decorated hall and the servers were very good for a catering hall style place. The food was decent Italian comfort food, with decent sized portions. I tried their stuffed eggplant rollantini, stuffed mushrooms, chicken parm and some other foods that were served family style at the tables. There was plenty of food for everyone and it was decent quality. I can't comment on value because we were just guests.Full bar at this restaurant.

Welcome to Il Villaggio! For over 34 years, we have been perfecting our authentic Italian cuisine and providing extraordinary service to become one of the greatest Italian restaurants Bergen County has to offer. Using only the freshest ingredients, Il Vil
Last night, we had the great pleasure of dining at Il Villaggio. Our waiter seated us at a well appointed table with the ladies on a very comfortable, high-back salon, and greeted us in Italian âbuona sera.â He then proceeded to dazzle us with an act of mental dexterity and charm as he described the many special appetizers, salads, and entrees of the night in detail with options for variations to each. The stuffed figs with gorgonzola and prosciutto were delicious. My wifeâs swordfish oregano was delightful and I had the finest, generous piece of Chilean sea-bass that I have enjoyed it many years. The presentation was outstanding, the layers of flavors were balanced and well conceived but the service was so classic, professional, and understated that it was the most memorable part of the evening. Our wait staff appeared whenever we âthoughtâ we might want something. If you want a delicious meal and royal treatment, Iâll Villaggio is well worth the trip. Iâve been to Europe this summer and had some excellent dining experiences but, if you want a world-class dinner closer to home, this is the place to choose. Thomas, it makes our day to hear that you loved your experience from start to finish and thought the service was top-notch. We always want our guests to leave with a meal they enjoyed and memories that last a lifetime, and it sounds like that was exactly what happened here. Thank you for dining with us, and please come back to see us again soon.Buona sera, Ralph, Owner

Tomorrow is family day at my wifeâs cousins. Tonight we arrived in Lyndhurst after only a 3 1/2 hour drive from northern Connecticut. Searching dinner. Lots of mediocre sounding pizza, diners, and sushi and old school Italian America. Then we saw this place. I love risotto and have pretty well mastered the preparation at home. Out we go on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The place was quiet as I expected. I expected good things from the Tripadvisor reviews but what I got were great things. First I could bring my own wine (why the town that hosts MetLife Stadium and the tail gate parties pretends to be a dry town, I donât know.). Thankfully dry does not extend to retail wine sales so I got a great bottle of Pino Grigio across the street for half the restaurant price. But that is not what makes this place great. Itâs the service and the food. The prices are super reasonable. The fact that my wife got the superb gamberoni e Cannelini appetizer (which was a small plate entree for her) for pennies more than a McDâs Quarter Pound Meal is amazing. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, done but still al dente. The beans were perfectly done and wonderfully seasoned. The dish was perfect in every way.She also got the Mista con Parmigiano. I thought this was a reasonable size salad. She found it large. I think it was a perfect starter salad. The quality of the greens and the parm were excellent. The dressing was subtle and flavorful. If you order this do yourself a favor, donât order the dressing on the side. The balance of the tossed greens to the dressing was perfect. I got a special of the evening. A roasted pepper, prosciutto, and burrata salad. The ingredients were awesome. The roasted peppers were whole halves of pepper leading me to believe they were roasted in house. I roast peppers a lot and there is a difference from the brined jarred ones and fresh roasted. I loved the burrata. The only issue was the temperature. It was way too cold. It would have been much better closer to room temp. The risotto con porcini was very good. It was advertised using fresh porcini. If they were not they were exemplary dried ones, but I do believe they were fresh and they were plentiful. The rice was nicely done. All the elements were there, creamy soft exterior and firmer interior. Perhaps I would have liked the interior cooked a little more, but for the price and the flavor punch of the porcini and the again excellent parm made it all work. That we walked out of the restaurant spending a measly 50 bucks for a dinner of this quality makes it a hit.Service was excellent, including replacing used cutlery, crumb sweeping and bringing out dishes in unison and clearing in unison. A bargain.

Thank you Angelina for the perfect suggestions! Meatballs, good! The mozza plate, great! Italian egg rolls, fantastic!! Oh, and the ceaser salad.Interesting atmosphere/layout. When you walk in you will come to a deli and bar type setup. Continue past that to the dining area. Grab a seat and enjoy a fantastic meal! Apparently the Sangrias are tasty and potent. It seems out of the way and off the beaten path. And it is... but worth it!

I have been to The New Park Tavern three times now. The first was sort of a last minute decision as my regular watering hole had a power failure and the kitchen was closed. The last two tomes because I really like the food and atmosphere. A large round bar with 35-40 bar stools in the center with another 15 or so high top tables in the front area and a large low table seating are in the back room make for a larger place than I am used to. The menu is extensive, I have had the wings, a Calzone and the Genaro steak hoagie and they were all exceptionally good. The one concern on food was the buffalo chicken tenders, mushy with a ton of vinegar (READ CHEAP HEAT) and a small portion equals an unhappy experience. The next day, the wings were terrific, so fix the chicken tenders issue....Very personable staff, knowledgeable and friendly. Quick to offer suggestions and recommendations based on preferences, very helpful. My first couple of trips, I sat at the high tops and got a bill for food and beverages, when I sat at the bar, I had the bartender send a waitress over for the food order and received two bills. As this place has been around since the 1930's, I would think they could get this worked out...All in all, a very good experience with a few points that could be better, but a good enough experience and value that I keep going back.

I requested a reservation online for a large family meal after an interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Our family was flying in from all over the country. I was very impressed that the owner called me right away and confirmed the reservation after offering his condolences several times. Matthew explained that there would be another larger group plus open tables which was of no concern to us but it was nice that he fully explained the size of the restaurant. The younger adults and children established their own territory at the table leaving the elder statesmen to speak freely. The staff was polite, polished and very attentive without ever being intrusive. Most of the adults ordered seafood and the respective meals were fresh and extremely well prepared. My mom always loved restaurants like this and she would have been very pleased that we were all fortunate enough to find Matthews and share quality time together as a family....thank you Matthew.

Based on TA reviews, went to this restaurant and was not disappointed. Ordered from the pre fix menu which included appetizer, salad, entrée and coffee with dessert. All the apps were tasty as were the entrees. The salad was very sparse but still good. Service was first rate. Pay with cash and the price is $3 less per meal than if paid by credit card. The only drawback is the very limited off street parking. Parking on street is metered. Will return to this outstanding restaurant.

I met some friends for a casual dinner. Paisaon's is a typical Italian restaurant with your basic pastas, veal, chicken, etc.... The quality of the food is good, but not fine. According to my friends, the sauces were heavy. Calamari and Burrata were good as appetizers, and overall its ok if you go without a lot of expectations. They did not have a lot of options for me, since I am Gluten free. I had a simple grilled fish which was blah. Service was excellent and they were really trying to make us feel at home and make sure we were having a good time.I hope they improve the quality of the food because it's a nice restaurant with a good location.

Experience the best casual Italian dining with family and friends at Vesta Wood Fired which offers creative and unique flavors achieved through cooking on a charbroiler and hearth.
Stopped by on a Sunday night. They were close to our hotel and highly rated on here. The ambiance is nice, but the music can be a little loud. The pizza was good and the crust was very good. Solid choice close to Metlife stadium!!
