We were there, without reservation on a Saturday lunch. Girls welcomed us with a glass of Prosecco. We choose for two different starters: steamed sea salad (really delicious) and gratinee sea scallops and rezor shells (very delocious). Then both choose the mixed fried fish plate, which was gorgeous. The venue is nice, people are friendly and very professional, price is adequate. A very nice surprise, since we have been passing by for many years.

Ate here twice during our stay at Falisia , first time the service was a tad cool but warmed up as the evening progressed. Lobster linguine was superb, steamed sea bass was grilled but tasty and the prawns and tiramisu to die for. Second time we had an invasion of dogs in satchels (apparentky quite the norm for Italy) which we did not care for in a supposed 5 star restaurant. Great location , good to excellent food but the dog situation brought it's rating down to a 3

We stayed at the Falisia Resort and the front desk recommended this place. It's a rustic Trattoria, old wood, wooden chairs, a fireplace and balconies. The server (Alice) was excellent. She spoke perfect English and recommended a very nice (and cheap) Slovenian white wine. This is great value for money and the food is delicious. The pasta is homemade and the Fish/Seafood was fresh and perfectly prepared. If in Sistiana/Falisia or the area, I would definitely recommend Tre Noci.

A thoroughly delightful meal was enjoyed by wife and I on the terrace of this establishment whilst staying at Portopicolo.Images on line belie the actual sophistication of this wonderful restaurant.Great value with charming service and an obliging on deck chef who remains enthusiastic to guide you on the menu ensure a memorable meal.My wife's spaghetti and scampi dish was not only amazingly generous in proportions to "wow" you on presentation but as she described unforgettably good.Bookings recommended and parking is a breeeze roadside at the front.

This lovely restaurant is very popular with the locals and offers a lovely environment in which to dine - the food is of superb quality and service, second to none - a little pricey, but worth the extra in my opinion.

My wife took me and our friends to her well-known local paninoteca La Giostra this past September, because she wanted to have one of their great panini. I've already had the chance to taste their beers last year, and was already getting also our friends ready for the surprise and... WOW! What a surprise this year!!!Davo, the Owner, was more than helpful with all of the above! He brought us a bunch of different beers to try out, while describing each and every one of them.Thankfully we had my wife as the Designated Driver! Also because 3 (almost) drunk Americans wouldn't be able to find their way back to our places anyway. ;o)

This small and nice completely renewed small fish restaurant offers a good choice of both traditional and "revised" dishes, mainly focused on local fish availability(Adriatic Sea). Good choice of wines, with particular attention "on site" producers. Booki
Definitely the best restaurant in Sistiana. We have already visited it 6 times and always had a very nice experience. Fresh and delicious sea food and nice local wine. Service is good, but sometimes you need to ask for plates, when order starters to share. This is the second year we are visiting this place and the quality is the same. You need to make a reservation before coming, it is always full of people. Highly recommend to visit!

The best grill in Sistiana, a beautiful view of the gulf of Triest, grilled meat specialties, a few meters from the castle of Duino. Open from March to October

I had lunch at this place with a group of about 30 people. When I entered the place I immediately felt it had substance: there was great care for the details in a newly renovated building which according to the owners is one of the oldest houses in Staranzano. The food belongs to the local tradition and was actually very good. We had some samples of cheese, ham etc as appetizer (the cheese with chilli peppers was awesome). We then had a double first course with gnocchi with goulash and crespelle with some local filling... excellent! There was no second course in the menu we chose, which was appropriate because the sizes are quite generous. We, however, had a dessert... the tiramisu I got was good, but it seems the nuts pie was really awesome (judging from the comments my friends made). I didn't rave for the white wine (chardonnay, I think) which was served, but it could well have been a personal taste. I didn't try the red wine. In any case, plastic bottles for the wine aren't that nice and don't put the drinker in the right mindset, I would recommend glass ones...Service was nice, informal and attentive (they even gave us a small gift). My girlfriend must eat gluten free and they arranged a custom menu for her with no problem. One of us was vegetarian and his custom menu seemed also very interesting.Pricing, at just ⬠18 for all what we ate, was great!! I would definitely recommend this place.Probably because we were a large group, we were seated in a room which isn't the usual dining room, but was nice as well. I looked around a bit and found the "real" dining room and I found it to be quite nice... I hope to come back to this place one evening, it should be quite atmospheric.Dear lordartha, thanks so much for your comment, we are very glad of it. After all these kind words I can only answer to your observation about our wine. I'm totally agree with you: visually I prefer the glass bottle too. But at the end we are simple farm peaple and we prefer the substance to the appearance so I hope you enjoyed our wine in "plastic bottle" as well. Thanks, see you soon!
