We have visited Cafe Grua many times at the original bakery at the river. They served one of the best pizza in Norway. This was our first visit at their new central and hip location at Union, Drammen. The location is in the trendy up-and-coming old paper mill area. The interior is also trendy, a bit rough and well suited for a hip pizzeria. The service is friendly and fast. And their specially made Pizza-beer from Aas is very good. BUT, the old "Norwegain"-style pizza-menu from the original resaurant/bakery is replaced with a more traditional, and not very original (or Italian despite the names). Please, please, please go back to your winning recipes from Landfalløya. And please, please, please do NOT, NEVER, EVER serve Iceberg salad on your pizzas. Had you only kept your original recipe you would get all 5 bubbles from me and my family would crave to visit you at least once a week. Now we are not so sure.

What do you do if you find yourself incredibly hungry on a lovely sunny afternoon in a snow clad Drammen? I think you look for a fantastic burger. I did and found it in this lovely restaurant set in an impressive old building. They helpfully had an English menu and the staff was very friendly and courteous. Given how hungry I was, nothing less than a perfect burger would have done. Fantastic experience.

Ordering online was not a good thing to do on a day in May. The order itself went through, but after an hour without feedback concerning when the pizzas would arrive, we phoned them. "Yes, the pizza delivery man is just around the corner, he has left with the pizzas". So, why didn't our delivery guy show up until half an hour later? Poor service, ordered dressing as well and didn't get any "because they were out" (said the delivery guy).The pizzas tasted great, but I believe any food would have been great since we had to wait so long - we were starving. And by the way, we had to pay the full price and didn't even get an excuse for the late delivery. Never again, I'm afraid (at least not with Pizzabakeren from à ssiden).
