Was in Dortmund with the family for the Liverpool game and saw this place reviewed on TA. Very "local" Italian place in Dortmund. Food and service was excellent. Again given this was local language was a bit of a barrier but we all attempted along with the waiters and we had a great experience. The place was packed with locals ahead of the game so it had a great buzz.

Looking for nice restaurant in the surrounding of our hotel we used Tripadvisor this time. And it was great. Food was excellent, each of us had different appetizers, main course and of course Italian sweets. Nobody was complaining, all of us were really satisfied. Crew was very polite and friendly, we didn't wait long time for our dishes. I really recommend that restaurant since I was there every time I will take a chance to go there again

Here, in this restaurant!If you like Italian food and are in Dortmund, you have no doubts and visit this restaurant.Good starters and well prepared typical Italian. They offer menu, but also add written on a blackboard suggestions of the day.They have very good meat and fish dishes, also pasta, pizzas, penne, etc. but my favorite is the octopus carpaccio, exquisite.

We were staying in the holiday inn next door and noticed this from our window and just went around, what a fantastic place, very cool feel, nice staff and brilliant food, just found out new favourite place to stay when traveling across Europe (which we do a lot) very impressed.

Nice food and very pleasant service.. But... please stick to the true values of the Italian kitchen .. and don't let yourselves be influenced by German traditions.. White cabbage does not belong on a Saltimbocca à La romana.. :-)just replace them by the peas.. that were supposed to be there in the first place..

Everything is is tasty. I tried beef pasta - sweet melody and 2 salads. Amazing yogurt sauce. The cheese cake was soft and not too sweet, one of the best I tried. The location itself it's lovely. A lot of basil and rosemary pots on wooden tables, tall chairs, caffe area with cosy couches and live cooking. I like to see the food being prepared while I wait. I loved the place and I would recommend it for any occasion.

Bored in my hotel I ventured to this restaurant with good reviews. Even though I speak no German or Italian I managed to order food from the very friendly staff. The pizza was thin, laden with topping and delicious. A must visit to this family run place

Dortmund has no real holz offen pizza (forno al legna), but LOst comes close, no wood, only gas. One pizza is big enough for two non-americans.This is the only review you ever need to read for this culinary waste land. there are only 3 restaura ts worth your time and money:losteria for pizza and ITOlafs for burgersand Emils Steakhouse if you want to get laid (assuming you bring your own date). Small cosy italian restaurant in Kreuzviertel. They are doing everything properly, good and pretty fast service, great food, good wine selection and the preices are also quite normal. Definitley worth a second visit
