This is a takeaway place. Until recently believed that they didnât offer deliveries and so never used. Having heard that they now offered delivery I rang up and yes that was fine. Pizzas were delivered within half an hour (early on a Friday evening) and were delicious - best I have tasted within local vicinity. The prices though are quite high relative to other places.

Traditional Italian / Mediterranean menu with over 20 years in town offers starters / pizza/ pasta /steak / fish / chicken dishes / desserts and traditional Italian coffee
After all the rave reviews, i was expecting a wonderful dining experience.Sadly i was left very disappointed indeed. The food was mediocre, to say the least. The ambience was no where near relaxed. The staff, who i have to say were very pleasant were falling over each other trying to rush to tables.I was very close to having a tray of drinks shower down on me.The starter was undercooked and not seasoned correctly. The main course was ok, but the dessert a disaster...and served with bent tea spoons. Not a dessert spoon in sight!.

Called in at lunchtime for a cuppa...but the warm welcome, scrumptious aromas soon changed my mind!! I ended up having a coffee (Americano) & biscuit, followed by a wrap (Spartacus) which was packed with a delicious mix of cheese & Mediterranean vegetables, followed by guess what, another wonderfully tasting coffee which this time came with a chocy. The service was friendly, effective & efficient. The dining area welcoming & cosy, but sufficient space, clean & tidy. The actual deli is filled with interesting buys. Really pleased I went. A rare gem in Darwen centre!

The Amalfi Lounge, like any good restaurant, has a story- a tale of love, international relationships and a passion of Italian cuisine. The story started with our grandfather, a native of Southern Italy and resident in a small town on the Amalfi Coast. A p
Had a lovely evening here with the family, very busy restaurant although this didnt affect the service we received. Come hear regularly and it never disappoints. Very reasonably priced. Family ordered meals which varied right across the menu choices and all were fantastic. Good value on cocktail menu and the tapas is fab! Also, don't forget to let them kbow about a special occasion as they like to make a fuss. Had great lunches here too.

Service excellentMid week menu very good value.King prawn pil pil starter although tasty, the sauce was a little strange. Prawns/salmon starter and goats cheese starter were excellent. For mains, the lamb casserole was very good, pollo a la creme excellent while the moussaka was overpowered by a significant amount of tomato sauce - not very authentic.Desserts were enjoyed.
