The best pizza in Danville we think, everything that we have ever gotten has been very good, never a bad mill there
We were looking for Italian food that was at a decent price. Someone suggested Ciro's. Our waitress was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, honest and real. Menu is HUGE! Tons of specials. Prices were VERY affordable. When I asked how big the pasta portions were, our waitress said "HUGE". I knew I was in the right place. My tortellini was very good. HUGE portion. Everyone else liked their food. Meatballs aren't homemade. This isn't New York Italian, but it's very good for Italian in the south. Highly recommended.

I tried the cafe a few weeks ago while attending an event at IALR. The price point is good value, but considering our taxes are paying for the service it should be good value. Food is equal to most buffet lunch counters. Ialr contracts the company that runs it. Meaning our tax $ pay for all employees and all services and ialr receives any profits. Just more wasteful spending by the nice building on the hill. The sous chef seems to be the value, nice and friendly and talented guy. The head cook is arrogant and rude, fittingly with other employees of ialr. I can't say most positive reviews are employees of ialr, but I'm certain mrsellie1 is an employee.

Olive Garden is one of our favorite stops. Love their Zuppa soup and salad. This Olive Garden was the same as those I go to in the Phoenix area. The food was fresh and good. The service was good. Parking was easy and the restroom was clean.

My husband and I eat at Carini's every week and sometimes twice a week. Food is great. We have never had a bad meal here. Owners Pino and Holley Buzzetta are very friendly and down to earth. All waitresses are great. Wine is good. Cannot beat the prices. Our favorites range from grilled salmon, pizza, baked spaghetti, steaks, BLT salads, cheese steak subs, cheeseburgers! Nice neighborhood restaurant. May have to wait 30 minutes for a table on weekend nights but it is so worth it!

I had met friends in Danville, Va. and we headed out to dinner. They advised that Frank's was good. Well, I was skeptical as some places seem like it just upgraded store bought food.Parking lot was good sized but did not seem crowded. HOWEVER, about 30 minutes after our arrival, the lot was filling up fast. It is family friendly and we got tables side by side that would hold all 20 of us.The waitress handed us menus and I began to look but decided to order the meat Lasagna. My thought was that if the lasagna is good, the place is good. It came with the house salad and choice of 12 dressings. I picked the Blu Cheese. The salad was good sized but not to the point of ruining the dinner. Bleu Cheese was good, not a fake. The lasagna arrived and it filled the dish. The sauce did not run all over. Actually, it did not run! AND it was made with Ricotta cheese!! There was also a layer of cheese on top that was cooked with just slightly brown coloring.Upon using the fork to cut into it, the layers did not slide apart but was moist. The taste was much better then I expected. The waitress told me that ALL their food made fresh by hand. Others in the group had other items and the menu and everyone said their foodwas extremely good. Their spaghetti also did not have a runny sauce. Prices are good. My lasagna was $12.50. The sweet tea was $2.79. Unfortunately the lasagna filled me up and I felt I could not possibly try any of the desserts. BUT, the chocolate confusion was really good.($5.50)If it was not a 3 hour drive from home, I would eat there more often. They have a very good offering of Italian food to include chicken, veal, (as in parmigiana). They have 25 types of appetizers, 10 types of salads, steaks and burgers. The children's, under 12, menu has 6 items from $3.75 to $5.75.They have sandwiches and a very good N.Y. style round thin, round pizza and gourmet pizza. to include Sicilian. OK, I did have a slice of one. Very good indeed. Beer and wine is also on the menu. They do have listed on the menu some items can be made gluten free.Next time I am in Danville and have time, I will be going to Frank's. My doctor may not like it, but great food is worth it. He may even want to try it. He hates runny spaghetti.

Tuscany Italian Grill offers a wide variety of Pasta dishes - popular favorites include Chicken Caprese, Tuscany Seafood, Veal Marsala, Lasagna, and Tortellini Pink Sauce. We offer a large selection of Subs including Philly Steak and Cheese, Grilled Chick
After a weary evening of travel, we needed comfort food close to our hotel--and Tuscany was within walking distance. Our server was very welcoming and attentive, and all our food was delivered promptly. Both entrees were hot and generously-sized (veal parm and pasta with sausage), leaving no room for dessert. Our one and only complaint was the harsh overhead lighting-- some ambient light, perhaps from several sconces or floor lamps, even, would have made the atmosphere softer and more welcoming.

Needing a place to eat dinner on our way back to North Carolina, my wife and I stopped in downtown Danville.  The city has done a lovely job of reviving this historic district, and right in the middle of it is a lovely pizza restaurant. (See our photo.)  That is what many know it for though their menu shows Italian fare such as calzone and Stromboli.  Of course, there are many pasta choices, too, as well as several sandwich selections. When you enter the restaurant, the first thing you will notice that all of the tables are lined up against the left brick wall. Apparently, the owners were limited in their seating arrangements as it was a takeout restaurant before Dellanno's. That is why the kitchen takes up the right side of the establishment. There are really interesting lights hanging from the ceiling that accentuate the historic flavor of the building. Numerous televisions are in the restaurant, but we there for the food, not the football games on the monitors.Since we had some great craft beer in Lynchburg, we passed on the beer offerings here. Unlike many pizza joints that only have mass produced beer, Dellannoâs has some craft beer on tap, including Foothills Brewingâs well-known IPA. We ordered their largest pizza, which is enough for a group. The crust is thin enough to have a nice crunch.  We found the toppings to be rather generous, and of course, the pizza was delicious. Because of its size and because it was that good, we took the rest home.Danville, Virginia is on our route when we travel to and from Philadelphia thus Dellannoâs will be on our itinerary when we are hungry.  Make downtown Danville an adventure, and make sure to get a delicious pizza at 316 Main Street.

Found this place via TA and decided to give it a try. Itâs an old school, family Italian restaurant. The place is bigger than you think, so donât turn around in the lobby. The menu offers so many things and thereâs something for all...pasta, pizza, chicken, veal, and a salad bar thatâs cold and fresh. The plates are large, so come hungry. The food was rich and tasty and we left full and happy.
