Top-rated family-run restaurant with modest aims serving contemporary Italian cuisine made by experienced chefs from Sicily (Angelo), Rome (Franco), Puglia (Gianni), Campania (Alessandro) and Liguria (Patrizia). Open 7 days per week and kitchen begins to
Visited with friends on a long weekend to Glasgow. Booked restaurant at short notice, so relieved to get a table on a Sat night in Glasgow. Good aperatifs, a couple of bottles of wine, one being red - Terre de Sole Primativo 2018. This wine on opening tasted fine but gradually became increasingly acidic on exposure to air (vinegary), so wouldn't recommend. Food was OK, pasta, bruschetta, pizzas. Pizzas overcooked. The waiter commented that the pizza Margherita looked overcooked and swapped it out without asking. We finished with Limencellos on the house. The waiter, a senior guy from Glasgow, was fantastic and provided exceptional service. So on balance, I found the food average, a dubious red wine selection but fantastic service. Our Primitivo (producer is "Terre al Sole") wine is one of the most popular we have here- great "entry level" / value for money choice. Of course, for connoisseurs we have higher standard reds further down our list i.e. Negroamaro, Chianti (Rocca delle Macie), Ripasso Classico Superiore (Santa Margherita) and then some fantastic heavyweight varieties such as Barolo, Amarone and Brunello di Montalcino. I find your opinions on wine very dubious indeed, if truth be told. Sounds like we dealt with your overcooked Pizza in the right fashion and that you got great service. The food is here is what you pay for. It is unlikely to change one's life in the way that a plate of pasta and a pizza / some bruschette aren't. Paolo MArtoneQua Italian Restaurant

Myself and my husband visited for lunch as we have done a number of times before, even when it was under a different name but same management. The Grove continues to serve the most delicious food as it has done for so long and has a beautiful atmosphere and setting inside. The atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for couples, families and business lunches. I would (and do) absolutely recommend! As a side note, the staff are always really helpful, smiley and friendly which is always welcoming. Keep it up!Melanie

Family run Italian restaurant. Authentic Italian cuisine, freshly prepared.
Ate here recently with my family it was a large party of 14 celebrating my niece turning 18. The service was really slow and it took so long to bring the starters and main meals to come out. The food itself was lovely, however a couple of the pasta dishes were so Al dente that they were inedible, which was a shame. The staff were really helpful but there is so much room for improvement especially with the length of time it took to serve food. I appreciate it is a small restaurant, but a large party comes with a hefty bill so it would be expected at the very least to have faster service, bearing in mind it had been booked well in advance.

A small family run Italian Style restaurant, co-owned with local restaurant 'Milano Steakhouse'. Classic Italian food combined with favorites for all the family from chicken wings to onion rings. Simple prices, delicious food & a friendly surrounding make
On this occasion, the customer service was very very slow and detracted from the groups overall experience. It was an 80th birthday celebration but the whole experienced ruined the celebratory visit. Very slow service with insufficient staff number. Coffee served cold. Some guests were clearly annoyed and totally disappointed. Probably will not return again in a group.

We ordered a Gluten free pizza and probably the best cooked we have ever experienced in the restauant. Waiting on staff very polite and extremely attentive making regular checks our meal was good. The large free car park and WIFI another bonus. The gardens very well maintained. On table clearance, not was just the table cleaned with appropriate disinfection but the floor surroundings AND the chairs seats and backs. The problem, but nothing to do with Milanos, is the road parking by people using it as "a car sharing free car parking".We will definately be returning based on this visit and many others in the past. Brilliant

Visited and had the three course set menu for £12.95. Good selection on the menu and excellent priced.Portion sizes are great and more than expected for the price of the set meal. Restaurant is clean and well decorated. Staff helpful.Found the draft coke a bit watered down compared to previous visits.Would definitely come back.

Amore opened it's doors in September 2008 in the heart of the Merchant City, Glasgow & has continued to serve up fantastic dishes within the elegant decor. Still run by the Perella Family we welcome everyone :D All of this makes Amore a state of the art r
Went there to celebrate a birthday with a group of 18 people. While many places in Glasgow asked for a set menu or didn't even book for such group, Amore staff were super friendly and accommodated us without any problem. The food was really good, pizzas, pasta and even mussels. They allowed us to bring our own birthday cake and brought it to the table for dessert switching off the lights of the restaurant.Overall excellent place, specially for big groups and celebrations.Hi There,So glad to hear that you and your friends enjoyed your visit! Thank you very much for the very kind review!:D We hope to see you soon again ! :)
