Had family breakfast here the other day. People take breakfast religiously in Australia. Most restaurants and bars do breakfast in the mornings, and this is one of those places. Even though "Healthy breakfast" was on the forefront I chose the least healthy option on the menu, chilly scrambled eggs with bacon. Bacon was lean and the scrambled eggs were very good (underlined and in bold). All accompanied by excellent coffee - not the usual "flat white" but black coffee. All in all a very good example of Australian breakfast.

Piato offers the best flavours of the Mediterranean with the bustling atmosphere of Europe.
Pulled in here at an outside table on an unseasonally mild autumn evening and found our meal perfect for what we fancied. We had bruschetta and chorizo for entree. The bruschetta were generous in size but were made with tomatoes that lacked flavour so the dish was underwhelming. The chorizo was served in a tomato sauce and was tasty. For our main we chose the slow cooked lamb shoulder which was absolutely delicious. Served with potatoes and tzatziki it fell off the bone and was plentiful in size for the four of us with the haloumi and grain salad. We were able to pick up a couple of good wines from the shop right next door so didn't experience Piato's wine list. The service was friendly and relaxed and the location on busy Blues Point Road gives diners at the outside tables plenty to observe. I would go again.

Really authentic Italian run by the family, with great service and harbour bridge views. The lamb cutlets were perfect, the john dory soup was tasty, and the veal scallopini was creamy and tender. My tira misu was very good, and all in all, a very good dinner. Going back next time I am in Sydney!

Based on high TA ratings we pre-booked this small but popular caffe for an early dinner. Our food choices were well cooked traditional pasta and meat dishes and the support of locals was obvious, including take-away service. By Sydney pricing standards the food was very good value and overall we had a very good experience.

Very much looking forward to this after doing some research. Did the degustation menu which is good value at $155 for Sydney. The first three tasters were porcini crackers, nut tart and egg, porcini and tart were excellent. Next a crab and macadamia dish, very smart. The Aguachile was one of my favorites, tuna and beetroot, amazing presentation, textures and flavors. The meat agnolotti was my least favorite dish, quite oily/greasy. Hapuka was good and the lamb similar but loved the baby turnips as the side. The two desserts were stunning, would rate the White chocolate and sudachi a little ahead of the buffalo. There is value to be found on the wine list. We had a entry level chablis. The chef was on holiday but the kitchen was coping well. Friendly service from staff. The 4/5 rating is because I was a little underwhelmed as a few courses did not live up to my expectation. But certainly very good value for Sydney.

I went here with a group for a work dinner. It was a Friday evening so expectedly busy. The service was disjointed in the beginning being slow to offer drinks, explain the menu, bring drinks, and bread etc. After a slow start, the service mostly flowed, although my friend is still waiting for her cup of tea.The meals are nice, possibly a little too try hard to be trendy. portions are tiny, so a four-course meal for $115.00 is actually the equivalent of a tapas menu. Presented nicely, and tasty enough, with some unique ingredients. The view is great and for visitors to Sydney, it really showcases our beautiful city.
