A great Italian restaurant. Our picks were: octopus and tartare as starters, both delicious; red ravioli and gnocchi as main course, also great. We finished with cheese cake with chocolate and hazelnuts from Piemonte. Friendly service; we felt like at home. Will definitely come back any time we are there. It is a good investment to get out from most touristic areas and come here; thereâs a bus stop 2â away.

Different from the cold atmosphere seen in restaurant of Switzerland. This place is active, friendly and the food is amazing, although it's in the middle of nowhere!! The pastas are just crazily delicious. Forgot to mention service is very nice and friendly which is a bit unusual in Switzerland! Defiantly recommended.

we went because of the review on tripadvisor. Having climbed the stairs to the cathedral we were slightly disappointed to see the menu for vegetarians as pasta can be so "meh" but were loath to walk back down to find somewhere else. And how glad we were that we went in - small restaurant, lovely hostess/waitress and the pasta was fabulous. So pleased we went.We are glad to read your various compliments concerning our restaurant and the food menu. your satisfaction is our best reward. Grazie, grazie, grazie !!Stella et Roberto

We had just flown in, were very hungry, it was 8 pm on a Sunday, it was freezing out, and this place was a ten minute walk from the Mowenpick hotel. A recipe for disaster, right? Wrong! They took us in, provided useful advice on the food and wine, and served wonderful food!

The Ciao restaurant is a Ttattoria with a twist offering a delicious selection of Italian dishes in a relax atmosphere.
Great service coupled with a nice meal of caprese salad and prosciutto di parma and arugala pizza. Close to Ouchy metro spot. Lausanneâs metro is awesome. Dear UMSwag,Many thanks for your positive feedback. I am delighted that you enjoyed this Italian experience. Best regards,Franck SeguinGeneral Manager

Last minute dinner at this new restaurant in the area. Nothing fancy. Quite big and parking easy. Service was kind and smooth. Sirop was offered to kids. Tried out the Vitello Tonnato as a starter (comes with fries). Nothing special, could have had a bit more of tonnato. Pizza was good, mushrooms were fresh, the dough was thin. A personal note: deceived that the Romana comes with a little piece (1/4) of hard-boiled egg and not a full egg cooked with it (sort of a sunny-side up you normally get). We had a Beef Tartar with fries and bread. Tartar was good though there wasn't a pre-trial. Fries had a bit of seafood taste. Guess the oil needs a change. Overall they just need some fine-tuning. We'll be back to try other dishes.

First visit at La Poesia. At first sight, you would not bet on it as the location is below average (and parking is an issue) but once you push the door, you enter a lovely universe. Really a positive surprise. Food is fresh and tasty, and portions are very generous. Staff is friendly; kudos to Francesco, who's dynamism, positive attitude and humor added that little something to our evening.

Their stake is perfect and the staff is very cheerful and friendly. I saw some other meals around us that looked amazing and the other guests also enjoyed eating there. Everything there is authentic Italian, the ambiance and the staff as well. The waiter offered a nice wine, they have plenty of good wines. The food is a bit expensive but still a reasonable price for the quality, absolutely recommended

On our usual family Sunday dinner tour, i came across this restaurant. Read the comments on TA and gave it a shot. I was not deceived!! My family and I found this restaurant's food awesome. Finally an italian restaurant that reflects the real Italian cuisine. We were so nicely greeted by the owner's daughter-in-law. We were offered a basket of "fritelle"... just so yummy. Ordered a "parmigiana", finger licking! Pizza dough was just as we like it, delicious. I had the spaghettone alla chitarra , so tasty. Great wine list for a little restaurant like this one. I highly recommend the place. For sure the outside isn't appealing but this is as close as you can get to Italy. Definitely worth it!Dear Chapina,Thank you so much for your kind comment, that's exactly how we want to make you feel, like in Italy :)That has been a pleasure to welcome you and your family!I am looking forward to see you again here.Warm Regards,Laura
