I took my adult daughter here for a Saturday lunch. They have 9-inch pizzas on their lunch menu, which is the perfect size for lunch. The wood-fired pizza is crunchy with a smokey flavor...very tasty. Everyone can get the pizza they want, which is nice. Pizzas were $10 and soft drinks $3; not bad for OTR.

Nicola's is located on the corner of East Liberty and Sycamore Street
Finally something different than the ususal and ordinary Cincinnati steak- house. Straight forward menu just to point, clear and with proper choises. I took a fish appetizer (grilled octopus) and artic char as main course. Both very well prepared and superbly presented. Genuine and tasty ingredients, lovely vegetables and expert utilization of dressing, that was very delicate. The octopus better than the char. I finshed with cheese plate, that was also great. Very good catch that I will visit again and recommend

My son proclaimed this to be the best pizza he has ever had. I just may have to agree. The ingredients were uniquely light, fresh, and delicious. The crust was fluffy and tasty. Both salads were light and deliciously healthy. It deserves its rating as the top restaurant in Newport! I also liked how several waiters helped us with everything and had complete autonomy as if we were their own.

So, the big question is: Which is better, Carrabba's or Olive Garden? My answer is "maybe". Or, "yes". Or, "Gerald Ford".In other words, why bother to ask the question and what difference does the answer make? They are what they are--franchise restaurants with mediocre food, served quickly by automatons, in a gigantic room that could double as an airplane hanger. Italian? Both of these frauds are about as Italianas General Mills.However.If you're on the road, and tired, and just want to shovel some semi-decent food down your throat, then you've come to the right place. Remember, you're in Kentucky, and the alternatives are nonexistent.I had edible lasagna, my wife some bland chicken dish. $65 for two with just one dinky glass of wine. I would rather have had a decent hot dog, but not many dog joints serve generic wine.I give up. Go at your own risk. Try to enjoy.Oh...which is better? You've got to be kidding.

It is a concept of casual intimacy and communal romance.Sotto is the art of simplicity, a steward of restraint. Itâs undressed, gutsy and human. It is fire, meat, wheat, and laughter.Above all, Sotto is Italian.
Had a bit of a strange meal at Sotto but it was an absolutely lovely place. The meal from start to finish was excellent. The pasta dishes were amazing and well worth going for. The strange bit was the rather emotional conversation my friend and I had, however it also highlighted how lovely the staff was. Our server was pretty incredible at providing spot-on service while giving us the space to talk. I am sure he was rather confused but still really did an amazing job of taking care of us. Would highly highly recommend.

Come enjoy the "Good Life" at Buona Vita Pizzeria. Featuring delicious pizza and Italian dishes made from Chef's own family recipes. Whether it is a pizza, hoagie, pasta, calzone or a salad you will enjoy the Great Flavor of some of your favorite Italian
Buona Vitaâs has been a recent addition to our Sunday (after church) dinner rotation. This past visit was our third time there. While the sign from the highway is prominent enough, the restaurant itself is located somewhat out of the way. We actually missed finding it during our first visit and had to get the GPS out to locate it. Once you see it, it is well marked but I was not expecting to find it back behind all the other restaurants in what I consider the âindustrialâ area of the locale. This past visit was our third time there, and as with our other Sunday visits, the restaurant wasnât very busy and there was only 1 server. The only other patrons were a family of 4 and a young couple who walked in right before we left. Empty restaurants usually make me nervous, but having dined there prior, we knew the food was to our liking. Further discussions with our server informed me that they usual dial back around holiday weekends as business drops off due to folks traveling. Going back through our calendar, we realized each of our visits had been during a long holiday weekend. They have a well-stocked bar, but found they typically only carry fresh mint during derby season for mint juleps, so I passed on my usual mojito and opted for a Guinness. Our typical go to meal is their Margherita pizza, and we find theirs to be one of the best weâve tried locally. Our son chose the Alfredo pasta, replacing the chicken with meatballs. He received a generous portion and told us the meal was very much to his liking. In fact, he further explained âit was the best Alfredo he ever had.â The fact he finished it completely and quickly told us as much.My wife and I changed course and opted for the philly cheese steak sandwiches. I found my meal to have plenty of flavor and enjoyed it while my wife didnât care for the pizza sauce included on it. We both agreed we thought the size portion a tad small in comparing to other eateries in which weâve ordered the same meal.I like the layout of the restaurant. It has a very open feel to it while at the same time being cozy if youâre in a booth. There are numerous family photographs scattered throughout, complementing the fact it is a locally owned family business. In each of our visits weâve found it to always be clean, well-kept and with appropriate background music at a comfortable level that allows for family conversation.Dining here was the recommendation of a co-worker who declared âthey have the best pizza in town.â I wonât make that claim since I havenât eaten at every local pizza parlor, but we do find the pizza to our liking and we enjoy the atmosphere of the establishment. Since dining here, Iâve recommended Buona Vitaâs to several friends and family members and to date, all of them returned nothing but compliments.Weâll certainly return again.

By far our favorite pizza establishment !! Everything we've ever had in the many many times we've eaten here has been very very good. Whether you like your pizza simple or with plenty of items, it's good. Try one of their specialty pizzas. We especially like the Bronx Bomber - ask for light on the onions and some extra cheese, and you have yourself a winner. The only thing that could make this place better is if they had french fries. But I'd still give them an A+ for food quality, value and service - can't be beat !!

Wife and I frequent this place, and have ever since it opened. It's good for family, friends, business stops or just couples. Tonight was a very special time. My wife's birthday was the occasion, and we invited the son, his wife and three grandkids - none who have ever eaten here before. My go to dish is the Pasta Bolognese, similar too spaghetti and meat sauce, but this is made with Italian sausage to give it a nice little kick. The kids shared a couple of pizzas, but the favorite was the 4 cheese, with a little prosciutto ham on top. For dessert, s'mores, what else? This is really a cool dessert. Looks like a calzone, stuffed with marshmallow and then drizzled with chocolate on top. It is too much for one person, or two. But perfect for a larger crowd. We all shared and wanted more, or s'more !! Parking is tight during peak hours. But there is street parking available on the highway or side streets. Nice bar area, a little on the noisy side, but perfect atmosphere for a happening place. Highly recommended.
