We really enjoyed the location and the atmosphere and the service was excellent. We sat in the room that opens to the outdoors in nice weather via glass garage doors. We started with appetizers....bruschetta...and a sicilian wine which they let us taste before ordering a bottle. It was tasty! For dinner we tried a few different things....I had the linguini which was tasty but was a little dry (not as much sauce as I like) and didn't have as much meat as I thought it might. My wife had a sandwich (the Etna) and my daughter had the Michaelangelo pizza (she's lactose intolerant so the goat cheese was a winner). Both were very pleased with their food. We pulled up after eating half our entrees to leave room for dessert and that was a good move. The flourless chocolate cake with mousse was amazing...we split one piece three ways which was also wise since it was a large piece....Our waitress was awesome...very helpful and attentive without being intrusive. And they were busy so she was working hard and smiling right through it all.Overall a good place that we'll definitely visit again.

Our pizza was under cooked, the taste reminded me of a frozen pizza, the sauce was more spaghetti sauce than anything, the cheese was decent. We received 5 cold un-melted cheese mozzarella sticks for 6$...Overall very disappointing, this is the third time we ate here, the other experiences weren't as bad so it may have been an isolated case, but they lost a customer. There are more better pizza places for me.

Our ultimate motivation: The Passion for Pizza!!!Donât get us wrong, all of our food is nothing less than incredible, but we sincerely take pride in our homemade gourmet pizzas. Why are we so in love with pizza? Maybe we are crazy â but youâll understand
I was driving down Alpine with no idea of what I wanted for lunch when I spotted this new joint and figured I give it a try. The staff was friendly and it looks like they have a nice selection of gourmet pizzas, however I stuck with the $7 pepperoni pizza. The pizza was about a 12" pizza with great toppings and only took about 10 minutes to make. It turned out to be a great lunch, with plenty of leftovers. I'm sure I'll be back again, next time I'll give the BBQ chicken a try.

Voted Best Pizza in the Grand Rapids Area, in the Mlive "Michigan's Best Pizza" contest in 2013 hosted by Gonzo, our restaurant won the Grand Rapids Press section. The incredible Fricano's pizza has stood the test of time. Our pizzas, including the EBA Eve
You'll be hard pressed to find better tasting pizza anywhere! The crust is perfectly flaky and buttery as well. We always choose "well done". Golden brown to perfection! My rating is based on the pizza, nothing else. The smell outside the restaurant is uniquely to Fricano's pizza, HEAVENLY to be exact. Any thin crust pizza lover that hasn't tried Fricano's is shortchanging their selves. We ride our motorcycle from the east side of the state to the west side of the state for this special treat and turn around and go home. Nice ride, yes, but the pizza is that special.

Dinner this evening was lasagna with bread and salad included. The lasagna was very good as expected as well as the salad with the Italian dressing. My wife had the corned beef sandwich which she said was right up with the best she has had. Shared the brownie dessert and that was just more comfort food. Service was excellent.

We visited Amore to celebrate our anniversary, first time visit but Iâve followed chef Jenna on social media. We are average locals who enjoy great food and customer service. I am vegan but the husband is not. The restaurant is pretty good sized inside offering table and booth seating. I believe they have a banquet facility downstairs. They offer beautiful outside seating during the warmer seasons. The only thing off we noticed was that it was loud and found ourselves distracted by the noise. Our waitress Leah was prompt, friendly and helpful. She offered bread and even brought toasted banquette bread for me since the bread offered in the basket was not vegan. We both had Ritaâs to drink which is their version of a margarita. My husband had the Delmonico steak that was on special - it came with roared potatos and grilled/lightly seasoned zucchini $36 the portion was huge and had left overs. He was offered soup or salad but he passed. I ordered from their vegan menu starting with a vegan zuppa $4/$5. It was fresh made and delicious. Chef Jenna came out to see how I liked it as she just whipped it up for me. Wow ! I had the penne pasta with three mushroom sauce (they have a fancy name on the menu but I canât remember) $11 so good. It had such a great flavor - it was nice to have something other than marinara. Again, the portion was huge so I took home my leftovers. Overall we thought the prices were fair for the portions. We had no room for dessert but chef Jenna sent out a scoop of limoncello sorbet and shot for me and a tiramisu sorbet with chocolate shot for the husband. We had a great evening out and so happy we tried Amore - we will be back, Iâd really like to try their patio!Thank you Chef Jenna!
