The venue is located in the studentâs quarter on the Zuelpicher Strasse, a main road in Cologne. Parking is possible on the road, sparse though. The restaurant is decorated with a lot of pictures of the movies of Federico Felini. The menu is simply gorgeous. We had a lot variation of the standard Italian cuisine which were a delight. I had a Carpaccio of Roast beef but warm! Yummy. As second course I had Risotto with Aspargus. Yummy too. The main course was a huge loup de mer in a salt crust which I shared with a friend. The wine was expertly selected by the boss himself and was great fit. The service was extremely warm hearted.

Pizza is cooked in a wood-fired oven as the tradition recommends (1-2 minutes after preparation). Mozzarella wasn't amazing, thin dough. The zabaione was the pleasant surprise but be warned it has Marsala liquor in it (so not suitable for children).A bit far from city centre, probably I wouldn't walk that far for a pizza as there seemed to be good pizzerias in city centre as well..

This is a great Italian restaurant with tasty food. You need to book in advance. There is a wide range of pizzas, great starters and pasta. It is quite loud and sometimes hard to follow a conversation. For some reason they accept cash only which is unexpected and inconvenient in modern times.

Strengths: Attentive staff; small intimate restaurant; will seat groups of 6-10; only 30 people in whole place. All the food was excellent and I mean really high quality; its a fixed menu; nice opening starter; relzed antipasta platter; the cheese pasta with trufffles is simply phenomenal; all the meat entrees were great.Opportunies: Ventaliation. The management needs to take seriously the need to get fresh air into the restaurant. Put a small vent above the door.

The owner is so typical German-Italian that it directly gives you this special atmosphere. Although in 'downtown' Köln and located close to a busy street, there are nice cosy tables outside and when inside you're in Italy. The food is not overprized, nice pasta's, pizza's and tiramisu, ofcourse always ending with a free limoncello from the owner. Well worth a visit when in the area!

Last came here two years ago and it was amazing then, nothing has changed, still faultless, only being able to give 5 stars doesnât allow it to be set aside from all the other 5âs which is a shame. This really is a must eat destination in Cologne and this recommendation is given without reservation.

Went there for dinner on a Friday evening. Busy place so you should book a table although otherwise they are very friendly and tell you you could wait near the entrance for a free table. We had delicious food - a mixed antipasti plate for 2, a grilled pulpo and a pumpkin soup as starter - all excellent. Then had three different pasta dishes - all excellent - and one Calzone which was good but regarding to the other offers on the menue I wouldn't recommend. As said the quality was outstanding, all freshly cooked, and apart from that you should know that the portions are quite big as well! When we asked to pay we were offered a free coffee or Ramazotti or else.Very friendly and attentive staff and typical Italian atmosphere.
