Things to do in Christiansted
My wife and I were wanting to eat at Reminisce at the restored Queen's Quarter Hotel. By the time we got to St. Croix, it had closed. In it's place is Cheese N' Bread! This is a Vegan, Vegetarian and Italian Café. The owner, Diane and her family, used to have the South Shore Café which was open on the island for many years. We sat down to a wonderful lunch. We each had the hot pressed cheese sandwich and soup lunch. My wife picked the Italian sandwich and I had the Mexican. Each was flavored with cheeses and vegetables from that country. The soup was a tomato based vegetable soup with white beans. Both the sandwich and the soup were really good. If you want to visit here, just head for Hwy 79 (Peppertree Road) off Centerline Road at Sunny Isle shopping center. A few miles down Peppertree is Queen's Quarter addition. Turn in there and head up to the restored hotel and villas and the café is near the pool. Diane and her doggy Dotty will welcome you and feed you a really nice lunch. Cash only. Dianne told us she is also available for catered events.
This is a pretty traditional Italian menu. All St. Croix food is highly overpriced, so just know that going in. It is ok. There are some interesting pizzas, so check those out. There are better restaurants for the money, though.

We visited Joeâs again this past week. They have been advertising a variety of alfredos, but what we had was tasteless, with a watery pale sauce and no flavor. The vegetables in the pasta were nearly uncooked and barely warm. We didnât finish it. The BBQ chicken was good, but was just a small thigh and a drumstick. Sorry to say, but based on our few visits, the food here is uninspired. The people next to us had wings - they looked pretty good.

We were one of four tables in the restaurant, yet it took over 75 minutes to receive our food. They messed up one of the pizzas. We ordered a regular sausage pizza and received a white pizza, which is five dollars more. We explained that we did not like the pizza but did not want to wait another hour for it to be fixed; when we received the bill we had to argue with the manager about the extra charge. When he decided to take it off, he was rather rude and expressed that we should've been grateful to have gotten the white pizza for the charge of a regular one, even though we don't like white pizza! The waitstaff was friendly, our waiter was new but very nice and prompt.I'm sorry you weren't satisfied with your dining experience. That was the waiters first night and had difficulty with our computer system. He accidently ordered the wrong pizza. I apologize for that as I did that evening. I don't recall any argument. You stated to me your dissatisfaction and I removed the pizza from the check. I was never rude and simply gave you what you wanted.

It starts with a great intro from the owner welcoming us as if we were family! We then had the waiter talk with us as if we were old friends. Eventually we did order wine and appetizers. The main course was wonderful. Pasta is homemade and amazing!! High, highly recommend this as a great local / non-tourist place. I will definitely be going back.Yay! Love reading this, so glad you enjoyed and thanks for letting everyone know about 2 for 1 wine night on Wednesdays! See you soon I hope:)
