We had a 6 course menu on Saturday's evening - the first 3 courses were exceptional (I would even say Michelin star level). However the second half of the menu didn't live up to it's potential - the components were cooked well, however the combination wasn't that good. However, we will definitelly come back.Thank you. We look forward to welcoming you again ...

We stayed at this lovely hotel and were happy to find the restaurant was wonderful. We were tired from a day of traveling and their delicious dinner brought us back to life. We started with a cheese crepe with a drizzle of fresh tomato sauce. Moved on to a sauteed beef dish and finished up with fresh yogurt dessert drizzled with a kiwi/berry sauce. Not only did they have delicious food but very gracious hospitality and beautiful mountain scenery just outside their doorstep.

We did a short hike through a wooded path to reach this restaurant and it was well worth the trip. The speck and cheese platter was a great start, and our group ordered different pasta plates - and all of us were happy with our meals. They also have a nice playground area for kids to play. Everyone was happy. We did not order dessert but a lot of people around us ordered sundaes and they looked amazing!!

We were staying near San Lorenzo and had been told that Pizzeria Petra made gluten free pizzas on request (i.e. advance booking not required). We stopped there for takeaway pizza one night on our way back from Bolzano. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the range of gluten free pizza was excellent. We ordered one pizza with mushrooms and one with spicy salame. Both were excellent - truely the best gluten free pizza I have ever eaten and well worth the trip from nearby towns e.g. San Lorenzo or Brunico! I agree with another reviewer that we could have had one pizza between two, but were happy to have the extra, which allowed us to be a bit greedy on the night and have left overs for another night. It was also very good value for money at less than 8 Euros per pizza. While we took our pizza home with us, the restaurant looked inviting and we would have been happy to eat there if we hadn't been tired from a day out.

we just came across a magnificant castle and entered it, the stuff was very kind and explained us about the menu. We took the 4 dishes dinner and shnitzel. We were surprised with the plates and the desert was really something else! Thanks for a lovely time, and if u r coming here this is definatly the best place for good food and atmosphere. We also got a full explanation about the castle!Guy and TanyaDear Guy and Tanya, thank you very much for your detailled and positive comment on tripadvisor. Thank you for all the compliments! We visited without having a reservation so we almost didn't get to eat here. The food is excellent and the service, impeccable. As we entered the restaurant, - so used to the locals not understanding English-, I stammered the word "mangia" (eat). The young manager/waiter, gallantly suppressed a smile, and answered in perfect English. - well, that was embarrassing! but, so worth any discomfiture! This place is very difficult to find so after turning left, it is the first building to your left. You will see some children's outdoor toys next to it. Enter downstairs door.

Old building dating to 1602.A middle class hotel with package tours attached, so are guests.Food of rather simple nature. Nothing of character, can be found anywhere. No roasts, no fish.I am unable to confirm 4/5 points ratings, 3.25 is correct. It remains a mystery why Michelin lists this place.
