I don't quite get the bad reviews, not our experience the two times we visited. The food is acceptable well prepared Sicilian fare, grilled fish and meat, seafood, pizza, pasta etc, and the service was cheerful if not always so accurate or quick. Prices are ok.The key thing is the outstanding and beautiful sea side location! Put alongside the reasonable food, it made for a great evening as the sun goes down.
Chanced in this beach cafe. Great views over Castel di Tusa. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hard workers during a busy Sunday lunchtime. Enjoyed my calamari and cold beer, but then am very easy to please

We ate here twice during our 10 day stay in the area. Aldo the waiter, his wife, his mom and his sister are a family run business so it feels like home. We ate both indoors and outdoors, either is really nice since the outdoor tables need to be booked in advance during busy evenings.

The place is very simple, but we found the food exceptional. The dishes are on display in the hot-table style, behind a display case; before sitting down at the table you communicate what you want to take. Also fresh pasta dough, even the second available
se vi trovate a Castel di Tusa, trovasi sulla 113, andando verso Messina. Locale alla buona, potrete definirlo trattoria o tavola calda, tavoli all'interno ed anche su veranda esterna. Mise in place alquanto spartana.

Located in the centre of Tusa, this restaurant is unique. My friends and I discovered that place by chance, it is quiet and the view is wonderful. The menu is very varied and fish dishes are excellent and well presented. The service is professional too. We will return to this place!

Very good pizzeria in this lovely Sicilian sea village. Quite popular as we found out even on weekdays in September. Though spacious most tables both indoors and outside were taken. So booking is a must. The pizzas were delicious and tasty. So was the antipasto with seafood and the 'insalata di mare' ( sea salad) the formula antipasto di mare + a pizza at 14 euros is interesting too.

We had so lovely pizzas in restaurant Damatusa. I don't remember the name of the pizza but it was with eggplant. We sat close to the door and the clients always left it open - and it was not warm that evening. But the personel closed it always, so they really cared.

Renowned operation since 1984 for the production of granita made ââwith fresh seasonal fruit: lemon, black mulberries, blackberries and almonds. At noon you can enjoy typical dishes of the traditional.
This cafe has never disappointed us: excellent ice creams and granitas/ sherbets plus brioches, the typical sweet buns Sicilians eat with them; seasonal sweets and cakes as well as very good sandwiches and pasta dishes you can enjoy for lunch. The cafe offers cheap refreshments inside and outdoors in the pleasant terrace and are served by the friendly owner.
