I had a great time here last night with a rather large party of people. And I enjoyed the food and the surroundings. The waiters were efficient and considerate and the premises were chic and swish, as was the area.I shared 4 different starters with the people at the end of my table. I couldn't fault any of them. My main meal of pork, although it was good, well it seemed to lack something. The meat was fine, the potatoes were well cooked, the sauce was tasty, but I could have done with a little more variety on the plate, a couple more bits of veg and whatnot. Tiramisu to finish up with was good too.However, I have to say that not everyone was as enamoured with the food as I was. One guy left half of his main meal and another said that his was just adequate.I must say that the bill was very reasonable.Personally, I'd go back. I liked the ambience and the decor. I'm not sure everyone would try it again though.

Went to El Barocco for lunch with my husband and my father in law. What a great surprise! We absolutely loved the place, one of the very few unpretencious places in Casablanca. Food was excellent! We had a veggie pizza with no cheese, they've put extra vegetables. Very fresh and the dough was equally good. We also had a seafood pizza and my husband had the "menu du jour". You really cannot beat 95 dhs for a starter, main and dessert. All good and very tasty. The manager was very friendly and the staff paid good attention to the service. Well done team! We'll be back soon. Shame you're not open late evenings:(

Visited several times, both for lunch and dinner; their pizzas are excellent (thin crust, not the Neapolitan thick crust) and the carpaccio and parmisan is the the best Italian standards! We went to this restaurant as a large group of 42 people and everything was set up and ready when we arrived for dinner. The waiters were patient and willing to help. Our choices had been pre-ordered so we just had to be matched up with our dishes. All went well throughout.There was a live DJ playing songs from our collective youth in the 60's and 70's (some even older) and we couldn't help but sing along. This really helped the festive atmosphere. This was to be our last night of 17 in Morocco and we would all be going home starting later the same night. The DJ was happy to oblige when some of us wanted to make a speech or sing karaoke style and by the end of the evening we were all dancing in the aisles and even had a Conga line going. Thank you El Gausto for a delicious dinner and a fun evening which we will not soon forget. We hope that they will not soon forget us either.We thank you for your testimony and remain at your service :)

All food is pre-prepared, portioned in trays for takeaway or heating. Waiting time is very short since food is only heated. But don't let this scare you away, still the food and variety of it is amazing. You have also many vegetarian dishes - few lasagnes, cannelloni's etc. There are 8 small tables, in the evening place is busy, lot of Italian speakers dine there. It is both convenient to have a quick dinner or lunch there or just take your portion with you. Pastas and lasagnes cost about 60 MAD, kieche costs about 30 MAD (really big piece) and Italian pie costs about 20 MAD (also very big piece).

We had a good time in this restaurant. Nice staff and good food. Had the lasagna, which had plenty of cheese and spinach and tasted great. The penny with salmon was a little bland. Had also the salmon quiche, which was delicious. The portion size were huge for us, so ended up taking a lot of food to go.

I was there with my husband the evening before our wedding. We reserved earlier and we arrived at 8 pm. It was not so crowded at that time, for a Friday night. It was just perfect! We could relax and we had really great food. We ordered pizza Quattro staggioni, a fish plate (forgot the name) but with potatoes and vegetables. As a dessert, ice cream (artisanal) and Mousse au chocolat. The waiter was extremely nice, smiling all the time and very helpful. Plus, you don't have to worry about parking your car, as they have a free " service voiturier " who takes care to park it. Everything was SUPER tasty! My husband didn't like the ice cream that much but it was ok.
