Best pizza and pasta in Carbondale! My parents used to go on dates here in the 70âs and I went to school here in the 1999-2003- Just visited passing through on way to Chicago- same pizza and pasta! Clean, fast and friendly! Always a stop on our road trips! Go! You must!

We have been going to Walt's for years and years. Food/service has always been excellent/consistent--until this visit. Ordered our regular pizza, and they served us a visibly burnt large pizza. They weren't even busy! We were given a replacement pizza to take home and given a small discount on our bill. Was just disappointed because food has been consistent there for years. Will still go back because we love their pizza. Just hope we aren't served another burnt pizza again any time soon! (The couple across from us was served the wrong pizza while we were waiting on our food. Not sure if that was the waitress or kitchen.)

Good iced tea. We have eaten at the one in Harrisburg and know the pizza is good; however, we made a mistake in ordering the cheeseburger pizza. Sauce was mixture of ketchup and mustard, not tomato sauce, and wasn't very good. Salad was huge, fresh, and good.

Stopped here on a SIU visit. Great pizza and great service. Walked in for dinner and the place was busy. A good sign, because if they are busy, then you know the food is good. Ordered a large cheese pizza for my two teenage boys. They really liked it. They ate the whole thing. I ordered the nine inch Quartro Challenge and I was not disappointed. Great fresh toppings and wonderful flavor. Waitress was extremely helpful since it was our first time. I would go back anytime. Great pizza. Also they were able to accommodate a peanut allergy.Thank you for your visit and high five recommendation. Really appreciate the shout out for my staff. They work hard to please. Marlow's was coming around to being a consistently good restaurant, and then they closed. They had added a daily hamburger selection that were easily enough food for two. Service could have stood improvement, to many personal conversations behind the bar. Maybe that is why they closed.

We had a short wait even though they were busy. Our waitress was friendly, fast and efficient as was other staff. We ordered stuffed breadsticks and meatballs as appetizers. Sauce was great! Ordered Chicago style double crust pizza sausage and mushrooms with a short wait.Sauce on pizza was delicious and observed several other meals that looked good. Plan to return soon.

I loved this place as a kid and remember the trains they had next door . Over the years this pizza joint has been at the top but has also been busted for selling drugs out of the back . The quality of pizza is medium nowadays as is the hygiene of the workers. Skip this pizza place and head to a caseys general store or frozen pizza. I hope to see this place light up the city like it once did.

I picked up a carry out order tonight for my family. The pizza and salad were wonderful, everyone loved it! The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I had my 10 month old with me tonight and the delivery guy took my order out to my car for me without me having to ask. I really appreciated that!
