Wow !!! I thought I had great pizza in Canicatti when I went to Moulin Rouge, These guys are definitely better, both good, this is better. Wood burning brick oven, crunchy crust, NOT greasy, plenty of condiments and choices. The Place seems small, but it's not, we sat outside for pizza one night and it was too noisy, with cars passing by. This area is hopping with young kids and families strolling. A few nights later we ate inside and the place is cool, hip, classy, modern. I liked it, the music was a bit loud and hip hopish, but I asked the owner to turn it down a bit and he was very courteous and changed it. They have other things on menu but we were on a pizza kick. Not expensive at all, it's NOT like USA where you buy one Large pizza to share, these are about 10-12 inch personal pizzas. 2 Thumbs up. VERY good, Delizioso... Bravo !!!

It had been six years since I've been back to Canicatti. I remembered this restaurant as being called Moulin Rouge??? and next door was another restaurant called Zalico?? I entered anyway to see if it was the same owners and the same outstanding food of 6 years prior. Apparently they combined the 2 restaurants, knocked down a wall and created Zamu. The reason I know, I speak the language and I asked the courteous man that greeted us. The place was absolutely beautiful, updated and chic. The food amazingly delicious. My son and I started with an appetizer of Fritto misto, lightly fried calamari, smelts, cod. Then I had Squid Ink pasta, and finally Grilled Veal chops that were thinly sliced with a little of the juices flowing, YUMMY. It was an amazing meal and I'm so glad I went in to venture. I would recommend this place to anyone that appreciates great food and is willing to make a 2-3 hour event out of it. For those of you that want something quick, don't bother, go to McDonalds, I think they have some in Italy.

Complimenti!

We stumbled across this restaurant when we arrived late in Canicatti. Its in the old part of town and we were looking for a meal after a long journey. We were very warmly welcomed and the waitress was really lovely. The food was absolutely excellent. I had the Fish Soup and it was out of this world -so very tasty and packed full with fresh local caught fish plus mussels and prawns on the shell. My husband had the calamari that too was fantastic. We then had pasta cooked to perfection with sea bass and zucchini. The restaurant is family owned. The son and mother are in the kitchen and the sister and father are in front of house. The service was fantastic we had local wine that went very well with the meal and was so very cheap at 10 euros a bottle. We had fab homemade canoli that was really delicious. Lovely relaxed evening still eating at midnight. Coffee and liquers were offered free of charge Will definitely make a point of returning next visit to Canicatti. So impressed with the quality of the food at such cheap prices. Main courses at 6 euros. Pastas 5 euros. Pasta fagioli 5 euros. Portions are large too.
