La Bocca Woodfire Pizzeria And Restaurant
Busy night but still free tables. Was told to go to the restaurant across the road for 20 minutes and then a table would be ready. Waited 40 minutes for a table. 3 other parties without bookings seated in front of us. No apologies, was then sat by staff who wouldnât make eye contact. Coincidence being with the only person of colour in the room. Think not.Hello, âNot worth the waitâ yet you didnât even try the food so how do you know it wasnât worth the wait?As you mentioned we were very busy tonight, we were indeed fully booked, the âfree tablesâ you mentioned were bookings that hadnât arrived yet. You didnât have a booking, we didnât have a table available and said there may be one available in around 20 minutes (this was an estimate, as you were told), we suggested you go across the road to the pub for a drink while you waited. The 3 tables that were seated before you were seated 1 minute before you as all the tables became available at the same time, for this I apologise, your table was the best table available near the oven. After you walked out we tried to call you to find out what had happened but you didnât answer. To insinuate that you waited for a table because you are âa person of colourâ is an absolutely disgusting accusation and couldnât be further from reality. If you do decide to try our restaurant again please call and make a booking and we will reserve a table for you wether you are a âperson of colourâ or not...

I have been meaning to try Paulys for a while now and finally did and I am so glad I did as it was very yummy.Pizza base is so fresh and fluffy I ate more than I really needed. Portions are very generous and well priced. The waitress was so good at her job and is an asset to the restaurant. We got water without asking and was served in a timely manner and I noticed all tables regardless of the size got the same attention. Will go back again and again.

Modern Italian with gourmet pizzas
As holiday makers we first dined at Salina a few years ago and were pretty impressed. Menu leant towards traditional Italian and we were pleased to have discovered a little gem. That's all changed.Lets start with the service, we had barely lifted the menus when the waitress was standing there pad in hand. Even though there were only a few tables occupied, it was hard to attract one of the four wait staff to order a glass of wine, and to cap it off, one of them cleared an empty plate before others had finished. Now for the food. An eight year old ordered the spaghetti bolognese, as kids do. He only ate a small portion so the adults tried it. It was without doubt the worst we could remember. It could have come out of a can. This could not be in all fairness called an Italian restaurant. So many dishes are just plain strange, take for example this Pizza; "Beef, bacon, pepperoni, onion, pinapple, bbq sauce" what the.... The other pizzas we tried were just plain bland, for example "Spinach, mushroom, capsicum, onion, goats cheese, hummus and dukkah". Then there was a smoked salmon one with sweet potato. Italian? It's really hard to find something that is traditional Italian. The menu roams between basic, bland and weird. It tries to impress but fails.Bear in mind this is Belmont, not Haberfield where you find great Italian restaurants serving real Italian food and charging less. Salina is expensive for what is offered and there is no BYO. I guess the locals with little choice look upon Salinas as their up market restaurant, but to my mind they are being had.Wont be back.

We recently held our parents 70 th wedding anniversary at lunchtime here.Delicious, Great meals , big size and $10 lunch specials. Steak, pizza, pasta, barramundi, fishermanâs basket, lots more. Lovely atmosphere. We sat inside a newly refurbished dining area. Wood and metal decor , very interesting. There is a beer garden and this is being extended. Great place for a function ( Melbourne Cup this year) Alcohol reasonably priced.
After a day's sailing on Lake Macquarie, we (11 of us) found this little restaurant tucked away at Summerland Point. It is a delightful, family run restaurant with authentic dishes that will please all the Italian cuisine lovers out there. Although I chose a steak, it came with a great, creamy sauce that really enhanced the meal. Freshly steamed vegetables were included, not an extra. The others had different pasta dishes, and all their dishes were cleaned at the end of the meal. The meals were quite a hearty serve. All agreed - Yummy! Next time I am having the marinara/seafood pasta as my friend next to me had. All I could hear were moans of delight as it disappeared. Although fully licensed, I saw that corkage is a mere $2.00 per bottle - wine only. The service was really personal without being obtrusive and hard to fault. Kaitlin is a delightful young lady who made us feel special. While we sat outside under cover, we could see that inside was less casual with linen tablecloths and a solo guitarist providing a delightful atmosphere. If you are after a casual group meal in an al fresco setting or a more intimate, formal dining experience inside the restaurant, I don't think you will be disappointed. Meals (including pre-dinner snacks) and alcohol was less than $30.00 per head. Great value.

There is very limited options for dinner delivery in Swansea and we thought let's stick to something we know. This is the yummiest dominoes we have had! The pizza was cooked nicely and the deserts were all fresh and delicious! The delivery was much faster then expected and they found the place with no issue. The staff member was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely order from here again

I agree with most of the previous comments, BUT, after having a lovely dinner with family, we returned the next morning for breakfast and werenât disappointed. Yes, itâs slow, very slow, but as a family we were happy to have coffee and chat amongst ourselves until breakky arrivedââ- must mention everything is made here, no buying bread in, all made himself, it was well worth the wait, would recommend it providing you have plenty of time. Most enjoyable.

Disappointing dinner meal at this restaurant.. (although its really more a cafe than restaurant).Although the service was polite and prompt, the pizzas were tasteless and rather overpriced. One vege pizza we had was more like soup.I get the impression that everything is pre-made ahead of time and just throw together when required.Wouldn't go back here.
