From "Trippe" to Milanese", you can really enjoy what you are eating: good ingredients and special attention in the cooking process are the key factors. You can accompany the foods with quality local wines and spumanti.The big surprise is the final one: you will pay a very interesting price for your meal. The secret? The choice of the plates (even if it changes periodically) is not very large and the service is correct but basic.

We had a lovely dinner, our waitress was very nice and very helpful..\For our appetisers we had the Salmon Tartare and the Gamberi, everything was fresh and delicious. As a main we had Straccetti with Rucola and Cherry Tomatoes with shavings of Pecorino and the Ravioli with Bufalina and tomatoes. The food was served without too much waiting time and everything was fresh and tasty.Our dessert was a triple layer of a cream custard with chocolate fruit and cinnamon, was very difficult to finish as it was a big portion but absolutely worth the try!!

Delightful little restaurant tucked away in Stradella. What a great addition to eating out in this town. The ambience is just lovely with painted pale green stencilled walls & crisp White tablecloths. There are different areas to eat both inside and out, weather permitting. On the outside it has a lovely little terrace and romantic small courtyard. The owner to this new restaurant is a delightful lady whom we have known before from another smart restaurant in the area, so she knows how to do everything well. We were in a party of six and had different starters and mains. The philosophy she has is good core ingredients served in a beautiful, but simple way. We were given a pre starter in gorgeous little bowls, a potato soup with a swirl of creamy cheese on top, lovely. Three of us had the delicious scallops. Two others had the Orata ..sea bream thinly sliced suchi style fish. Another had Foie Gras and the other one had Egg crocante. All of which were absolutely wonderful. The main courses we ate were branzino ..sea bass, baccala.... Salt cod cooked in a tempura, duck breast with plums, and three Filletto di Manzo ...fillet steak which had been cooked with a tasty crust around it. One was served without the crust, so as to be gluten free. Every dish was very good. The steaks were like butter they were so soft. All were served on the most beautiful white porcelain platters. Presentation perfect. For deserts two had the selection plates, two others had the sorbets and two the best creme brûlée we have ever eaten!! Exceptional....!!! We will definitely put this delightful restaurant on our list of must go to's when in Italy!

On our trip though Lombardia we found this gorgious restaurant in the village of Canetto Pavese. Here we enjoyed on a beautifull terras of the a great Italian meal, a splendid view on the vineyards and the most charming hospitality of our hostess Mariella Mariotti. Many thanks for that and we are sure that we will come back one day.Grazie Mariella!!

We went to Domus Paradisi for a special event. We were two families to celebrate our children's graduation. The weather was so bad (too foggy) and it was impossible to stay outside so the owner prepared us two rooms to hold all the people. In the first one, parents stayed comfortably while in the second room young people could stay all together managing their habits and speeches. Non-one of the waiters complained about the confusion that was naturally created from time to time and all of them accepted the spirit of the âon goingâ party.The food was excellent, I particularly appreciated the âbrasatoâ but I can affirm that all was rising to the maximum you expect in such occasion. Wine produced by the owner was very good and at the end, cakes have accommodated most demanding palates. Great day, great place and great food.Thanks to Domus Paradisi!!!

Dans la petite ville de broni , ce petit resto est situé à côté du credit agricole , on peut croire quâil est fermé mais surtout une fois garé dans la rue nâhésitez pas à pousser la porte ! We had been recommended by another restaurateur to this restaurant. The interior of this is very impressive, beautifully restored very tall brick pillars arches and ceilings.The rest of the interior is modern with some of the chairs being swivel mustard yellow cone style, with 60's style lamps which swoop over the tables. The service is excellent, and very informative waiters. You can eat A La Carte or you can have a degustation menu of five or seven courses. We opted for the five courses. The portions are smaller so it allows your to have room to eat them. We had Batutta & Fois Gras, Pesce crudo, Rissotto with gamberi, Mialino & apple sauce. Every course was delicious except neither of us liked the desert we chose which was figs and a very young crem cheese. The high lactose content did upset my stomach a little. The other very nice surprise was the three nibbles pre starters. Very nice smart place to eat.

It's hard not to wax lyrical about Calice dei Cherubini: the name says it all - it is the Cup worthy of Cherubs, Seraphs and angels. The bucolic situation on the Oltrepò Hills has nothing to envy the Tuscan vineyards - a gently rolling landscape covered in ordered rows of vines as far as the eye can see, in muted autumnal hues, with here and there an orange maple or a golden poplar. The place has been so far preserved from mass tourism thanks to its seclusion.The building is a renovated traditional farmstead where the kitchen and the restaurant are, with a separate barn for the storage and bottling of the wines they produce (pinot noir, barbera, bonarda, interesting blends, dessert wines and grappas.Calice dei Cherubini is a harmoniously run family business, with an edifying history dating from 1964, in which three generations of Calatronis share the duties - cultivating, wine-making, cooking, serving. All is done with the highest professionality, to the customer's utmost satisfaction.The set menu varies with the month and is comprised of several antipasti, two first courses, a meat course, a dessert and different generous wine tastings (6) pair every course, ending with caffè and grappa. No faux pas, everything is perfect to a t. The bill is the most astonishing aspect of it all: 30 Euro for one of the most satisfying experiences you will have.
