Chef/Restaurateur Vinicio Llanos of the popular Arezzo Ristorante & Wine Bar Located alongside the tranquil Saugatuck River In Westport, CT, introduced his newest CT venture, Le Madri, to the Town of Bethel. This family owned and operated Restaurant, Bar,
Le Madri is a lovely and quiet traditional Italian restaurant with attentive service, white linen tablecloths very good food. In contrast to many of the trendier new entries into the region, this restaurant is designed to keep the noise level low and the food enjoyment high. With attention to details that are increasingly important, such as locally sourced and sustainable food and naturally raised meat and poultry, fresh and wild-caught sustainable seafood, and fresh greens and vegetables, this is a place not to be missed if you are looking for a pleasant evening out.

First and foremost I would like to say that this is my favorite Italian eatery to dine at. The food has been beyond fantastic each and every time I have visited the establishment. Our usual waitress, Alide- is AMAZING. She pays attention to detail, and has the best customer service all the way around. She recommends the best of the best and I walk away full and happy each and everytime. This eatery is definitely blessed to have a hard worker as her around. My family and I love her and she definitely takes care of us.

Glad for augie if he is out from under the 24 7 365 grind. What a business he had. Now for the new owners and restaurant. What a mess. Sitting waiting over one hour for order. Mass confusion. Mixed up bills. Different staff and now people complaining about food. What a shame! Thanks for many years of enjoyment at the old Augieâs. The new one is not getting my business.

The food has been consistently good my go to pizza restaurant. Salads are seasonal and very good and an assortment of appetizers that are not typical

We walked in, ordered our pizza, and were on our way in less than 15 minutes... on a busy Saturday night. Pizza was very good with plenty of cheese and toppings. Prices are very reasonable. We were staying in a nearby motel and asked for and received paper plates and plastic ware (service for six!) I forgot to ask for red peppers and parmesan cheese and they didn't offer any so I don't know if it is available.

Pepeâs in new haven was always the place to go for me and my family for the last 50 years. Nothing like a good tomato pie. When new generations branched the business into more locations we were tentatively reserved that it would be as good. Never quite as good as old new haven but close in taste and atmosphere. Over the last 2-3 years we have seen a decline in quality of pies and now service is rapidly declining and making us go elsewhere. Lately the wait has been over an hour for a phone in order. They consistently mess up the orders and the pies are thicker and often over done where the top is burnt. Staff is very distracted and uninterested in customers and acting robotic in actions leading to errors. Did Pepeâs get to big to keep the quality family place we loved? It appears to have. A real shame since it was a true icon in Pizza.

We ate here, take out, ordering their pizza with the works. It was excellent. Good variety of meats, vegetables, lots of sauce and cheese. Service was quick and staff polite. I would recommend this place, and would eat there again.

Wanting to end the year with a delicious meal we headed to La Zingara. We were not disappointed! The beet salad was refreshing with an eye catching presentation. The seafood risotto was excellent, however I would have preferred fewer shells. We were served twice as many cockles and mussels as scallops and shrimp. All in all, a positive experience and we definitely would return.
