We came twice to this Italian restaurant in the center of Bern. It is part of the Bindella group and has great service at the inside as well as outside seating possibilities. The ground floor is more in a bar/café style and the upper floor is for restaurant services including a little patio. All food and drinks tasted great and authentic Italian. Also lots of excellent wine to choose from. Is this a helpful review? Surely, travelers who are yet to visit us will find it helpful. It's great to read you enjoyed your culinary experience at Lorenzini Ristorante. Here we serve the first-class Italian cuisine paired with the wines from the Italian leading wine-growers. Our knowledgeable staff is always happy to recommend you a perfect one for the occasion. Like you said, on the ground floor, we have a stylish bar and vinotheque, where you can have an aperitif or a coffee. Our original Italian coffee blend is really popular among our guests. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!la vita è bella - Michèle & Lorenzini-Team

Centrally located in Old Town, this restaurant is a gem. The food is spectacular and very tasty as is the service. It is rather expensive however you get what you pay for - great food and great service! The ambiance is second to none as you feel you are dining in a great hall of some palace. We went here two times during our brief stay in Bern since we enjoyed it so much. It is located on Kornhausplatz which is less than one block away from the old clock tower in Old Town. Don't miss out on a splendid and delicious dinner!Dear Crvan,It's always a pleasure to hear that our guests so enjoyed their experience at the Kornhauskeller, that they return for more. Thanks for the great review, and the five stars. In our beautiful cellar restaurant, we serve Mediterranean dishes as well as Swiss classics, and our focus is always on quality. Our dishes are made with natural, freshly prepared, top-quality ingredients. It's a unique venue; the vault was built around 1718 and is a splendid example of Bernese High Baroque style. The walls are decorated with frescoes by the 19th-century Bernese artist Rudolf Münger. We hope you will be back when you are next in Bern.la vita è bella - Adrian & Kornhauskeller-Team

...with pasta dishes that were both very filling and excellent tasting, as was the fresh caprese appetizer we started with. Friendly service, and a short walk from our Hotel Schweizerhof. We arrived early for dinner without a reservation and were seated immediately, but the tables filled quickly afterwards.A good choice for us.

Walking into Azzurro, you feel that you must have come here in another life because you're greeted with warmth and sincerity offered only to dear friends. Plus, the food did not disappoint!! Whatever you order you can be assured that it will be fresh, tasty, and perfectly prepared. While here for a business lunch, I felt like I wanted to order a bottle of wine and just keep eating all the way through dinner. Definitely a place that is a Must Go!

Integrated into the unique environment between water and forest, the gastronomic oasis in the Bernese Riviera has an uninterrupted views of the Bernese old town. Recreation meets urban lifestyle and modern architecture surrounded by diverse nature.
We really wanted to like this restaurant, especially after walking down (and later up) a steep hill to get there without a car. We discovered that we were not given the same menu as the Swiss guests-- we didn't get the Italian food menu at all... inexcusable, and we had already ordered by the time we noticed. The food was average-- the trout was particularly good, but the fish and chips was so over salted as to be inedible. There was no salt and pepper on the table, so we were obviously supposed to eat the food exactly the way the chef wanted. I salt my food very lightly and there was no choice except to eat it over salted or return it. We just wanted to eat and leave at that point. We knew it was going to be expensive, but at least hoped it would be good. It wasn't.

This is mostly an Asian restaurant, but we were here at lunch time and the menu had a wide variety of choices. Located at the far end of old town, just before the bridge to the bears. We ate outside at a communal long table, but it was not very busy. I had a very large salad with tuna (canned variety), and partner had minestrone soup and Asian shrimp dumplings. We were both happy with our choices. Pleasant service.Dear dayhikersThank you for your kind feedback! We appreciate it that you enjoyed our food and are glad that you enjoyed your stay. One of our goals is to meet the needs of our guests, both local and foreign by serving only fresh ingredients from the region at a fair and reasonable price. We look forward to your next visit. Warm regards

Was pleasantly surprised by the value for money of this restaurant. Two of us ate here for under CHF 60 which is unusal for Switzerland! I had a vegetarian pizza which was very tasty and the base was thin and crispy and not soggy. Additionally, they were very accomodating with my dietary requirements. My husband had a pleasant surprise when he found 4 Indian set menus to choose from as well as the Italian options. So he went for the chicken curry menu which came with rice, raita, poppadum, pickle and some lentils, and he ordered a naan on the side too. We had two bottles of sparkling water as well. The Indian food was a little bland but that's not surprising when comparing to other Indian restaurants in the locality (the spice seems to be toned down for the local palate). The restaurant was clean and my husband went to wash his hands after eating and said the men's toilets were very clean too. The only slight criticism was that service was very slow as they had just one waiter for the first part of the evening (he was joined later by another) but more walk-ins than they would usually expect. It didn't bother us because we weren't in a hurry, but if you were, it may have been slightly annoying. However, we would definitely still go back there again. A nice little neighbourhood restaurant.

Food is OK but for a high end italian restaurant by far to expensive. They're trying to redefine the italian kitchen and get on a exclusive cuisine level. In my opinion, good italian but by far to expensive for what they serve and trying to be. Friendly service personal and great atmosphere.

We were hungry and found by accident that lovely restaurant...and it was just great! Staff was super friendly, according to the menu there is a new couple running the restaurant. Had the Belper Pizza, quite expensive (26 CHF) but it is worth, very fresh and the Belper Knollen (special chees from a local cheese factory) is very very delicious.
