We went to this restaurant for a Sunday evening dinner in June and ate inside. We had been hoping this restaurant might be an off-the-beaten-path "find". It wasn't. The dining room decor was bland and dated feeling, an open room that looked as though it had not been significantly updated since about 1990. The food was equally bland. The brown sauce in which the fettuccine with sausage was served tasted no better than if it came from a can. Prices were reasonable compared to restaurants in the center of towns in the area, however. The patio, where we did not eat, looked pleasant.

We were looking for a "new" place to try and found this on one the web.We dined here on a recent Saturday. Had a 6:45 reservation that was honored right on time and we were seated promptly. The place was already busy and about 80% of the tables were full.It was VERY noisy and tables were close but everyone managed. Service was friendly and prompt. We had a tasty "eggplant stack" appetizer that came hot and crisp. The eggplant was firm but juicy. The accompanying greens were fresh and the dressing was very good,The salads were OK but unimpressive. We had the Classic Caesar and the "Wedge" Salads. The Caesar was crisp but a bit "watery" and could have used a little more dressing. It was a competent version of Caesar but not the best I've had. My friends wedge was a little smaller than versions from other restaurants and its not like iceberg lettuce is scarce. The entrees were another story. The ribs were very good. A nice blend of sweet and savory sauce was plentiful and the meat was classic "fall off the bone" tender. Portions were ample and the french fries and coleslaw we both delish. The prosciutto Flat bread also was tasty and the turkey burger was juicy altho a little on the "thin" side. All in all it was a good experience and we will come back. You should try it too. Thanks for visiting and I'm happy to see you were pleased with your experience! We wish you'd been more impressed by our salads. Please know you should always let us know if you're unhappy with your meal and our team will do what we can to take care of you. We do tend to get busier at certain times, especially around dinner on the weekend. I'm thrilled you enjoyed your eggplant stack, ribs and flatbread. Hope to see you soon

They have a great variety of slices, including a broccoli rabe and sausage, which was delicious. This is a cute place, and the staff couldn't be nicer.

Thin crust pizza is a real favorite but La Familia not only manages to make it thin, it makes it so that the crust at the end is so good that there were not many ends left. The pizza is really good. Even the grand children ate almost to the end of the crust. I finished what they didn't eat. Enough said!!

My boyfriend and I live in town and came here one random Tuesday, excepting basic Italian, we were blown away!! We got eggplant rollitini and calamari for an app which were delicious!! The eggplant was a big portion ! We also had minestrone soup which was packed with flavor, we split short rib fusilli which tasted like something out of a fancy restaurant in Manhattan! We had an amazing experience and will be back!!

I often go to Peppinoâs. Itâs hard these days to find traditional Italian style cooking, and this restaurant has the best chicken and veal Parmigiana for miles! Thin, crispy, perfect proportions of sauce and cheese. Great sides accompany the dish as well as a traditional garden salad ( ask for optional for Gorgonzola- itâs worth the extra charge!). Also great is their amazing garlic bread!Tough to just walk in on a Friday or Saturday night, be sure to reserve ahead! The food is consistently great!

Friendly and attentive service paired with top quality food is a winning combination. I've gone in for a fresh slice and used Sinapis for party catering. Prices are very fair and the food is amazing. My personal favorite is their meatballs. Reminds me of the ones my grandma used to make on Sundays for our family.

It is listed in the 2012 Westchester Zagat
It's been a full year since I reviewed Nino's. How can that be? It's still one of my local favorites. There's nothing like stepping inside Nino's, after yet another insufferable Metro-North-Is-Late-Again train ride, squished in next to someone because Metro North has taken two cars off of each train, leaving many unlucky, late, tired commuters standing for the long train ride home - but I digress. There's nothing like stepping inside Nino's on one of the first really chilly November nights to feel at once comforted and grateful for a night off from one's own kitchen..We arrived at 7:15 p.m.. The front dining room was full. We were shown to the back room which is larger and quieter, but already had several occupied tables. Handsome Companion and I settled into a table in the corner, away from the windows as I was, as usual, chilly. We ordered two glasses of wine, the Montepulciano for me and the Malbec for H.C. The wine warmed me. We nursed them, awaiting our food, and chatted quietly about the day. H.C.'s Pasta Fagioli arrived first, followed by my iceberg salad. The soup smelled wonderful and was, filled with beans and flavor. My iceberg lettuce salad was perfect; dotted with beets, cucumber, olives and cheese; just enough to whet but not suppress my appetite. We paused and sipped our wines. More couples had arrived, chatting away and looking happy to be out together (always nice). Our mains, tender and flavorful Veal Toscano for me and equally tender and delicious Veal Parmigiana for H.C. arrived shortly. Both came with a side of potatoes, carrots , broccoli and green beans (pasta is an option). We ate, shared bites, and talked quietly. And that's what Nino's provides; a quiet place to enjoy great food in an intimate setting.
Where to Eat in Bedford Hills: The Best Restaurants and Bars

This place is just fantastic. This was my second visit here for dinner and the first time for my 20 something daughter. She actually knows the family that owns it but had never had an opportunity to eat here. It was a Tuesday night at 6pm and the small place was already packed. All tables and seats at the bar taken. There was about a 25 minute wait before we were able to get a table. We had a glass of wine and sat at the few stools in the small side room. The place has a great feel to it and the clientele has that friendly community vibe. The house wine they were serving, Murphy was very good. My daughter had a Caesar salad to start and I went with the Pea soup. She had the Rigatoni Bolognese as an entree - Iâve had this before and it is some of the best Iâve had. I went out of my comfort zone and ordered the fettuccine with rabbit, yes rabbit. It was very good. I even talked my daughter into trying it. I had a late meeting back at work so had to take cappuccino and cannoli to go. They provided a limoncello for my daughter. When I broke that cannoli open at work later - wow! Exquisite. Had to focus on the meeting. The staff was awesome. Friendly and efficient.
