Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Bayeux. The northern French town of Bayeux is best known for the eponymous tapestry that depicts the 11th-century Norman Conquest. You can see it, of course, on display at the Bayeux Tapestry Museum. The cloth’s original home was the Bayeux Cathedral, which still towers over the area, looking a bit like a Gothic wedding cake. Inside you’ll find beautifully detailed murals and haunting crypts. Bayeux makes an excellent jumping off point to tour nearby historic WWII sites.

Outwardly this place does not look much but is worth a second look.On a busy walk way, enough English for the purpose and ready made food supplied as requested.Having seen the size of the sandwiches, we asked to share, no prob, warmed as well.

They offer only takeaway but there's short waiting time for your pizza fast and it's steaming hot. Their english may not the best, so you are better off taking a good look at the menu before ordering. They make many different pizzas, so I'm sure you will find a personal favourite in their menu. I would say they are something between Italian and American style pizza. Good size for two, maybe three persons.

Stopped by chance... Was delighted. Excellent food made and served by excellent people. Wayne's bread recipe is absolutely delicious!

We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the delicious food at Le Marsala so much that we ate there both nights of our stay. The vegetable soup was especially delicious, as were the pizza, ravioli, and spaghetti bolognese!

Just read the other reviews and have to write my own. Wanted 3 pizzas to take out tonight as we could not all leave the hotel. Found this place. Menu on English. Lovely lady served me. She was really nice about my lack of French. 3 pizzas ordered. Took about 10 mins. Grand frites were lovely as well. Easy. Cheap. Good pizzas. Nothing to moan about and I suppose we all view things differently. If only there was somewhere to buy a cold take out beer in Bayeux!

Your choice of three menus, two of homemade pasta, the other a plate of homemade antipasi, which is what I chose. The meal comes with bread, a glass of wine, then dessert (a selection of Italian cakes, also exquisite), and coffee or tea. All this for 12â¬, making it a great deal for Bayeux. There's also a decent child's menu. The restaurant can seat 12; it's set in the shop, which offers Italian and other fine foods. Highly recommend this place. The owner clearly loves what she does and gives great advice on products.

Bayeux was packed with tourists, when our family of 5 tried to find a place to eat. The hostess quickly cleaned a larger table, rearranging things to find a spot for us. They have a varied selection pizzas plus other great pasta dishes.
