When âBasta Restaurant and Gourmet Shopâ opened its doors in 1989, the goal was ambitious: To create a combination of food, service and atmosphere that struck the perfect balance of what a complete, authentic Italian dining experience should be.Over these
Visited here with family on a recent trip to the USA. Situated in a lovely village high street with plenty of atmosphere. Plenty of parking behind. We booked a table as it was a Friday evening. We waited 10 mins to be seated, which was fine. However, we had to find someone to find that out! We had a great waitress, who was very attentive and brought me a fab alcohol free cocktail, but to be honest, as foreigners, she spoke far too quick in explaining the menu lol The food, Iâm sorry to say, was âokâ. We expected better, especially for the price of the dishes on the menu! Donât think Iâd return. Im afraid we found better food at less expensive restaurants.

Whenever I travel to the Providence area for business I have to stop here for a sandwich and takeout provisions. My favorite is the Brasaola Sandwich with arugula, shaved parmesan and truffle oil. Best pick on the menu.

Had not been in a few years. Had stopped going because of the quality of the food. Decided to give it another shot, a mistake. Waitress was pleasant but not very knowledgeable. Although only 1 other table service was slow. Ordered fried seafood platters, fish was not cooked through. When waitress came to asked if we wanted left overs boxed, we told her the fish was not cooked. She took it back to the kitchen and that was the end of it. Although we did not request an adjustment or would have accepted one, nothing was offered. Most quality places would have at least offered a desert or offered to adjust the bill. Not here and will not see us again.

Served in a dining room that has not changed much over the decades, Jack's boasts a big menu of Portuguese and Italian fare delivered in big portions at great prices. The kind of dinners that allows for leftovers for lunch the next day. Most dinners include bread, soup and salad too. Top choices are fried smelts and seafood pasta. Or try Jack's favorite appetizer platter or a broad sample of tastes and textures.

Town Pizza has been around for many years. They sponsored my wife's softball team when she was a girl. It is a great place to take kids and the family. They have pizza, salads, some Greek dishes, and some other dishes as well. The prices and the food are very good. Highly recommended.

Leoâs has always been one of my favorite restaurants and our dinner on July 4th was exceptional. While my husband and I were waiting for a table, owner/chef Paul Mancieri told us about one of the daysâ dinner specials. It was grilled swordfish over white risotto, topped with blueberries and strawberries (very Patriotic) and served with grilled asparagus. Once seated, we decided that we wanted to share the swordfish dinner and asked Adriana (our waitress) if it would be enough to share. She reassured us that it would be.We ordered our drinks and my favorite soup Pasta Fagioli and my husbandsâ favorite New England Clam Chowder.OMG!!! When our dinner arrived, not only was it enough for both of us but it looked so delicious and the aroma was fantastic. After taking a bite of everything, we both agreed that we made the right choice.Paul and his staff are always eager to please & the food is always fresh and tasty. You can never go wrong with whatever you choose.

Geez, the place is admittedly tiny, and it was a terribly stormy night, so the space limitations presented problems for the staff in terms of folks, like us, waiting for a table. For an hour, or more. The worst part was the 'host' (using the term loosely..) who became increasingly diffident bordering on rude the longer we waited. First it was 'can you stand over here?' shunting us off to a tiny few feet of floor space (3 adults..). It's BYOB, so when my friend said "What would make this much easier (after maybe 40 minutes waiting..) is if we could get some glasses for our wine?" "No, we can't do that until you're seated" was the brusque reply. Can't? Or won't. We were inside, the place has no liquor license, so there's clearly no restriction about where the bottle we brought was opened. I've been to places where they bring you free glass of wine outside on the sidewalk, for heaven's sake, when the wait is that long, and they apologize as well. This dude just sort of ignored us, increasingly with the passage of time. Finally when we said 'we're going to go somewhere else' he sort of grunted a 'yeah' or some such, not an "so sorry for tonight, please try us again another time OK?" (yknow, 'hospitality' industry it's called?) Nope. Barely an acknowledgement. Though it was unsaid, they don't need to worry about us giving them another chance some night. Our friend who brought us there has gone often, and also stated she won't be returning.

Award Winning Brick Oven Pizza.. Pastas, Salads, Burgers, Wraps, Appetizers, 18 Craft Beers on Tap. Dine In, Take Out, Delivery and Catering are Available.
There are lots of pizza places around locals and chains so I used the TA rating to decide where to get a quick pizza. For a little under $20 our large pizza with multiple toppings met our expectations. Hot, tasty and well prepared without a lot of oil.
Mangia offers an alternative to the myriad, boring pizza restaurants in the area. They offer a variety of creative and classic specialty pizzas, plus sandwiches and salads. I've had the pizza several times and have not been disappointed in the quality. The 50% off pizza deal in effect on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays is hard to beat. Although they're probably the most expensive pizza when it comes to list price, it's an absolute steal with the discount.

We went to the recently opened Revival Restaurant on Main Street in East Greenwich and had an amazing meal! Everything - soup, salad, main dishes, desserts & drinks were beyond delicious, and our server, Karen, was super friendly & knowledgeable and provided an awesome dining experience! Three of the four of us are eating plant-based diets but were able to find great menu selections. This will definitely become a regular dining experience!
