I made reservations on Monday for a Saturday night and I was told that I only had the table for 2 hours. We were seated about 10-15 minutes later than our dinner reservations because the guests at the table were paying the bill and then the table had to be set for us. I was a little surprised by the time limitation, however, I accepted it. We were greeted by one waiter who took and served our drink order. In a short while another waiter greeted us and started to rattle off the specials of the day for appetizers and entrees. There were too many specials and very overwhelming, it was just too much to remember. The waiter got annoyed when we asked to see the menu. I thought the waiter should have had a nicer disposition rather than being annoyed. Dario's is trying to be an upscale restaurant but it really isn't. Someone at out table asked the waiter if one of the seafood specials that they were offering which included crab meat asked if ythe crab was imitation or real...he sheepishly told us imitation. No upscale restaurant, which Dario's pre ports to be, sells imitation crab meat as real crab meat unless you ask. Shame on Dario's for being deceptive. The waiter was honest but the restaurant isn't. This game by Dario's caused me to lower my grade to "poor" for this restaurant. Go elsewhere. The restaurant is small. Save yourself the disappointment...go elsewhere. PS. We were at our table more than 2 hours and no one asked us to leave because no one was waiting for a table, in fact the restaurant was partly empty. I'm sure they were hoping for a crowd but there was none. What was the drama that we had to be done with dinner within two hours? Hogwash!!
I take my hat off to the pizza they make at this place. It is the very BEST pizza I've tried in my entire life. You have to try the Hawaiian, the one with eggplan and the chicken with buffalo sauce. They're freshly baked with a great taste. We were greeted by their owners, very friendly by the way. Widely recommended!!

Be prepared to either shout, or wear noise-cancelling ear buds because Nick's is one LOUD restaurant , but the food makes the noise level worthwhile. You can get single or family portions and both are definitely filling, rich, flavorful (among other choices, we started with a pizza, of course, made thin crust style, with the freshest basil on top. SO good!), and presented fairly quickly by a fast-moving wait staff (it's crowded in here: one reason for how loud it is!). Nick's has modern decor and design, with high ceilings with exposed ductwork, slatted "fencing" that separates the entryway with the main restaurant, a full bar with large-screen TVs, framed illustrations on the walls, and it is fairly narrow (another reason why it is kinda crowded). It has a bit of a Manhattan restaurant vibe. Bring your appetite, and think about those earplugs.
Baldwin has about a half dozen different local pizza shops (I'm not going to even include the garbage chain pizza) and Sorrento's is the best. Its just your traditional pizza parlor, nothing fancy, but good pizza and heroes, etc.
Gino's (in Baldwin Harbor) is a clean pizzeria with a fairly good selection. The pizza I was served had a nice, thin, crispy crust. All around, I found the food tasty and the staff pleasant. There is a sit-down restaurant-type area in this eatery, but you can also take your food "to go." The prices are reasonable.

A must!On Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 5:30 my friend and I had dinner at Cena081. We were staying overnight at the Vianna spa and hotel. It was a girls weekend. We found the restaurant on a website called Restaurant.com. I called to make reservations and Armando the manager picked up the phone and place those reservations for us. When we arrived we sat outside in the patio. Although you were on Post Avenue on Long Island we felt as if you were in someoneâs backyard in Italy. Paul was our server. We ordered the Caprese as an appetizer and split it. We also ordered as an appetizer the baked chicken wings. They called Coscette di pollo. We both ordered risotto. It was made just a little bit differently, more creamier. See the 081 in the restaurant name is the area code in Italy from where the owner originated. Itâs in the north. Northern Italian cuisine tends to be a little bit more creamier. Both the dishes were delicious. Risotto w/ Asparagus shrimpRisotto w/ Porcini mushrooms Since there wasnât any Italian bread, the owner sent over grilled veggies and even treated us to coffees and liquors after dinner. Armando was so nice.

I was originally from Baldwin and remember the old Venice Inn with its white tablecloths and subdued pink fluorescent lights edging the ceiling. The pizza crust was thin and you could easily fold it. I went back to what is now NOVI. The white tablecloths are gone as is the lighting. However, the restaurant and its food are still good. We were there for lunch. We shared an order of calamari which was plenty for 4 people. It could have been seasoned a bit more. We shared the white pizza which had no sauce but was ricotta, mozzarella and plenty of garlic. This was delicious. They also had several other pizza and Italian dishes available. The service was good and the staff was friendly and attentive.

I've been going here for more than 20 years. It is a family Italian eatery that we have watched grow, expand, and get better with age like a good red wine. Pizza is great, chicken garden salad is a fav along with caesar slice. The garlic knots are to die for and my kids grew up on the path dishes esp when they were young and picky.

We have been coming to La Parma (all three of them) for many years. The one in Woodbury is our favorite but we decided to try again the LaParma 111 because it was closer to our friends houses. The food was good, plentiful and served with a smile. Definitely family style and LOTS of garlic, but I like that! It is noisy, crowded and good for large family gatherings.
