Every part of Maramures, depending on climate , soil, products manufactured and cultural relations , have formed a certain gastronomical culture and local cuisine . Although the gastronomic foundation is a shared one, each region has its own treasures and
The restaurant is out of town (like 4 km), to get there don't bother with public transportation. Reservation is most likely optional since not many locals visit the place.Saturdays there might be a wedding, so it could be useful to phone ahead. The menus are digital on tablets which is a novelty in the area. Service is good, but nothing exceptional. You can find all local specialties on the menu, depends on your luck how well the chef can prepare your choice. The setting is nice and the place looks fairly new.

The Hawaiian pizza was rather tasty, but at approximately 30 centimeters (and an empty tummy!), I thought it a bit small for a full meal. It was skimpy on the pineapple (no more than two chunks per slice) and had a paper-thin crust. The taste was nice, but I wouldn't go above and beyond and say it was even close to the tastiest pizza I have ever had. The servers weren't particularly friendly or patient when they realized I didn't speak Romanian.
Located in the Old Center of Baia Mare, with an elegant design, we promise good food and a cozy atmosphere.
I liked very much the terrace during summer and even now during rainy days i enjoy the great inside atmosphere. And all my stars to this special restaurant La Dolce vita!Feel free to visit it once you are in the Old Town in Baia Mare.

We ate on their terrace and personnel was nice, polite and food was served relatively fast and according to what we ordered. The food was ok, but with no WOW factor. I recommend this place also for the view towards the main square of the city and the relaxed atmosphere.

Probably our favourite restaurant in Baia Mare. We love the food and the great staff.Their tomato soup is the best I have had anywhere in the world - thick and full of flavour (even better for me sprinkled with their dried chillies.Their fish and seafood are very good indeed - as are their simpler dishes such as spaghetti bolognaise. And excellent deserts including a unique presentation of Tiramisu .Not the cheapest Italian in Baia Mare but well worth the still reasonable prices.
Casa Dobro is a quiet place where you will enjoy the best coffee in town. It is a coffee shop that will establish a coffee routine from which you wonât try to escape; a place which brings specialty coffee closer to its people. A coffee shop where every co
Even though the folks working at this cozy coffee shop were limited to just a few words in English, the staff were nonetheless kind and presented me with exactly what I ordered. :-) The ambiance was nice and warm, with soft music and people typing away on their laptops. There were plenty of indoor seats and the bathroom was spotless. The cappuccino was quite tasty.

We celebrated our anniversary in September, and we had a lovely romantic dinner by the pool. The food was really nice, the service impeccable and the price very good for what they offered. We really recommend Castel Transilvania to everyone visiting Maramures, as it is absolutely stunning. 5*****+

This is an excellent Italian restaurant. The chef is actually from Italy, Milano. The bruschetta is fresh and crispy. The Carbonara is fantastic, as good as anything you would get in a fine restaurant in Roma. The food is so good you overlook the inexperienced server.
