The place is nice and service is friendly. But then there's the food and the bill. The pizza was, to put it simply, not a pizza. Overbaked, but the tomato was tasteless and not enough warm, too much mozzarella, too much oregano. And all that for some 16 dollars.. way too expensive for a good pizza, imagine for a bad one.

I visited Il Capo, with a friend, during an apparently interminable tropical deluge on May 14th, 2011, the bicentenary of Paraguayan independence. Three more friends were delayed by the weather and by the time they arrived we were fairly mellow on - as far as I can remember - Caipirinhas. We were not however mellow enough to fail to notice the extreme mediocrity of the food, as other reviewers have noted, probably the worst Italian food in Asuncion where the standard elsewhere is uniformly high. The impression was not helped by the service, which was poor to the point of non-existent. Adverse comparisons with the excellent La Pergola Jardin, situated diagonally across the road were inevitable. I shall not be going back!

Homemade food, great coctails, and ham and salumi deli with great products. Our specialties are the pastas. We also have pizza made in a wood oven
Visited here for a business dinner. Excellent food, charming staff, local fare, reasonable prices, pleasant setting. What more can I say? I will be back!

We came here so late after a tiring trip. Staffs welcomed us, they made us feel comfortable. Our food was tasty, drinks were nice and the price was reasonable. Recommended!

They only serve pizzas, drinks and a heavenly chocolate desert. Pizzas are thin and crusty as I like them. The place itself is a gem. Wooden tables in a little patio run by very friendly people.

Returned for lunch at this downtown restaurant . Disappointed since the service was unusually slow . Normally you queue and can chose between pastas or salads . Normally quick despite the lunch time rush . But this time very slow . There seemed to be some confusion . Thrice I was asked what I wanted ! Eventually served . Then the refreshment we requested took a good fifteen minutes to arrive . No apology , having reminded the waiter twice of our order ! Then a computer problem and a long wait for the bill . Hope that this was just a bad day and that next time all will be OK .

Relatively new locale in a very nice house. Oil, balsamic and oven baked bread as well as seemingly pampering service kept our expectations high. Unfortunately, although it was early and the place was almost empty, food took much too long to arrive and was disappointing. Steak and pork were over cooked. Presentation was mediocre, prices quite high. Do not recommend!

Welcome to San Pietro the Retaurante International food, gastronomy asuncena icon .
Our first trip to Paraguay would not be complete without visiting this restaurant. From the reservation, to the reception, to dinner and coffee everything was just wonderful. Chef Fernando is very creative, he truely uses local ingredients to create global dishes. Please sample as many of his sauces as you can since they are just excellent! The waiting staff is very attentive and pleasant.Looking forward to visiting them again on our next visit to Paraguay!

A bit over the top in décor and attempted attitude but good Italian. Pretty place, good food, good service. At first I was turned off by all the mirrors and American Express ads, but liked the waiter and food. Good choice as it is across the street from the Sheraton and a few blocks from other major hotels. For a city not used to visitors, they are very accustomed to visitors and offer a good option
