Shortly after the original Sant Ambroeus opened its doors in Milan in 1936, a devoted following emerged. This celebrated pasticceria and confetteria became the meeting place for the local intelligentsia, whether beginning their day with Sant Ambroeusâs le
I knew we were in for a real treat as soon as we stepped inside the cafe/bistro entrance of Sant Ambroeus. The aroma of great espresso and the visual stimuli behind the glass display counters had my eyes wide and mouth watering. We opted to sit in the rear dining area and were treated to a combination of friendly, quick, attentive, professional service and excellent, piping hot food. Their Saturday afternoon lunch/brunch menu had at least 12 items that I would have ordered; the only disappointment was I couldn't order/eat more! Sant Ambroeus was a fantastic find (thanks to Rocky, the doorman at The Surrey). We will definitely go again when on the Upper East Side.

The pastor was very good but thereâs only about 10 or 12 chairs to sit in so the atmosphere is a little lacking but the pasta is all homemade and very tasty.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Paolaâs Restaurant. Service was implacable. Everyone really enjoyed our dinners. We highly recommend the shrimp spaghetti, the bolognese, veal, duck with risotto and spaghetti colored with squid ink. You canât go wrong here. It is an outstanding restaurant.

Service was excellent and food quite good in the Northern Italian style. The setting is beautiful and serene. Excellent help with the wine list. Staff seems mostly Italian, which added to the ambiance.

A friend of mine recommended SoleLuna about a month ago. I rarely frequent restaurants in Sunnyside, so this would be something different. I must say, I am glad a friend recommended this restaurant. The food and service were spectacular. The wine list is surprisingly very good with a fine variety of reds, whites and rose and sangria. The food was exceptional. It felt like we were eating homemade family made Italian Food. The staff was very friendly and attended to all our needs. Marcello, our server, went out of his way to please our party. Highly recommend. Give it a try

We walked here from our hotel to check it out. Wow, this food is great! And affordable. Their menu offers a lot. From chicken sandwiches and burgers to individual pizza slices or order a whole pizza. We got a couple meat Jamaican pockets. Those were excellent!! They have tables here if you want to eat in.

Located just steps from Madison Avenue and one block from the Metropolitan Museum and Central Park, Grazie is the perfect place for lunch, dinner, or a late afternoon snack. Opened in 1993, Grazie continues to charm the neighborhood with delicious Italian
We came because of the strong TripAdvisor reviews calling Grazie a hidden gem. Decided we needed to give it a try. And I'm glad we did.Grazie is a quick walk down a quiet tree-lined street from the Met. You are greeted by an abundance of silk flowers at the entrance. You descend down into the basement, make a quick u-turn and walk up the stairs inside to the nicely appointed dining rooms. The service was great and the food fantastic. Between the three of us, we sampled the pureed roasted vegetable soup, the market green salad, the Imported tuna salad, the tuna and tomato sandwich and the mozzarella, tomato and pesto panini. All contained super fresh, tasty ingredients that made for a delightful lunch. Definitely a place to visit again when we are in town.Thank you for your review of Grazie. I am delighted that you enjoyed the soup, salad and sandwiches. Serving the highest quality ingredients is a top priority at Grazie. I do hope you visit us again the next time you are in the neighborhood.

It seems to have your typical Italian cuisine but look more closely, or better yet, ask your waiter. The off-menu dishes sometimes gravitate to the menu proper. I've had sailfish carpaccio, elk, ostrich and many game meals that were terrific.AmbassadorCarl, thanks for your review. We're glad you got the chance to stop by for a great meal. You make some great choices when it comes to selecting meals. Our sailfish is an excellent choice. We'll be here waiting when you're ready to try more off-menu items. - Chef Rocco Sacramone
