Assagao (pronounced [aːsɡãːw]) is a village in Bardez, Goa located about 4 kilometres west of Mapusa. Assagao is Known as Land of Flowers. Village is surrounded by hills, From Mapusa town, the road u-turns uphill and, while descending the pass in the small plateau, splits into two parallel roads one which proceeds straight along The church of St. Cajetan, Assagao Union High School anjuna and the other passes by Pallottine Seminary,Panchyat office straight to Badem. The popular beaches of Anjuna and Vagator are to the west of Assagao. Assagao Union High School is located in the village.

Fantastic place to get good quality food. It's off the beaten track tucked right beside the river. Eaten there many many times over the years as it's just one of those places that when we visit we make a point of eating there. Ignore the ' now closed' and read the management responses - looking forward to our return in November/ December 2015 hoping your renovations complete so that we can celebrate our wedding anniversary with good food & drink and friendly staff . If your visiting Goa put it on your to-do lost you won't regret it. A restaurant just KNOWS it must have been doing something right over the years, when happy customers continue to give it 5 Star reviews even when it's shut. Appreciation like this really makes it all worthwhile. I thank you for your encouragement and enthusiasm and look forward to seeing you once we reopen.

We found this place from the fantastic reviews on Trip Advisor, and it lived up to our expectations. Setting was beautiful, surrounded by a gorgeous garden and lit pool. Food was delicious and a welcome change to curry!! We had garlic bread with cheese to start followed by Arabiata pasta, Mare pizza and a green side salad. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We went to this place in march and had pizzas which were great and the service was great too, unfortunately the toilets are horrendous. theres one toilet for men and women and the floor was wet through, the seat which covered in wee and the toilet smelt awful. This restaurant definitely need to address the state of the bathroom and if they can only have one due to space then they need to dedicate a person to make sure in is checked every hour as it certainly put us of going back.

Very dull and dark ambience, no special food, very slow service and staff was very casual and not concerned. We did not understand why this place is so highly rated. The ambience itself killed it for us. Not a place I would recommend for sure. WiFi was extremely bad too.

Visited this pretty restauraunt on a monday night, they had some great live music. The musician played the guitar and sang some amazing songs!! He was AMAZING!! The place was packed and it seemed like everyone was enjoying the music and singing along, including me and my brother. They have a nice big dance floor as well, some couples were dancing away to the awesome music.The staff was really amazing too and helpful as well. It was my first time ordering 'Cashew Fenny' - a drink native to Goa. I did not know how to order it, the waite helped me and guided me to order it with Limca and ice! It was amazing! The fenny was awesomee!The food was great and the desert was awesome as well, we had some good 'Bebinca with Ice cream'Do stop by for an amazing experience. The owners are awesome to talk to as well. Nothing special. Staff not particularly friendly. Tandoori chicken was dry and disappointing. Drinks slightly more expensive. Attractive decor but that’s all. Fire and Ice across the road 100% better.Sorry n thanks for the review.please if ever have problem with a food anywhere just not at our place , kindly point out to the management at that particular time, if they don't respond then it's a problem.....anyways regarding ur complaint abt the tandoori , ll speak to the chef n see what has to b done..We greet every guest with a smile n try n b efficient in the service. but we also see that we don't get into their privacy when dining as sum Don't want to get like it...

Everything we had was good, especially the beef carpaccio, salmon tartlets and home-made mascarapone gelato.The owner Mario will make recommendations, just say yes to whatever he suggests, even the scarpetta (literally means little shoe for some reason but is actually freshly baked bread) at the end to mop up the olive oil and sauces on your plate. The chef is his wife Simona whom you will probably want to thank a million times during your meal. A very, very satisfying meal!

Real italian food! I’m italian, I knownit! It’s the first real italian restaurant we found in India, the food was delicious and the staff so nice. We had amazing bruschette and tagliatelle al ragù and pizza, everything was good, tagliatelle is homemade and really like the ones you can eat at home in Italy. Prices very very good. Definitely worth a visit or more, the location also is stunning, an ancient villa with magical inside and lovely garden. The two italian owners are special people, go visit, eat some good food and meet them, they choose the ingredients very accurately and you can taste is an high level of quality.
