We came here during a calm Friday evening and there were only a couple of tables on top of ours. To be honest, some background music would make the place more enjoyable. That said, the food was absolutely delicious and the portions abundant. Pasta with asparagus and bacon, French tagliata with radicchio and pine nuts and inventive starters tasted fresh and authentic, together with good local wine. The waitress was really nice all evening and the chef came out to ask about the experience.Totally recommended when in the area. Fair prices.

This restaurant is a little different than the rest of the ones we have been to in Italy. It had it's own certain style, and that style was awesome. We had the bruschetta, a steak with rucola and parmesan, and pasta with pepper and cheese and pumpkin sauce. The pasta seemed to be handmade cooked to perfection. The steak was standard. The bruschetta was a variety plate and it was really good. We liked the salami. I recommend this restaurant if you are in the area, it's a good price and they treat you like family. I would highly recommend to anyone.

The Farmhouse La Rocca dei Briganti of Artena is situated near Rome, a few km from the theme park Rainbow MagicLand and Valmontone Outlet. Surrounded by woods and hills, from a farm owned by a large herd of farm animals to visit. Inside you will find a la
We only came for food and it was ok but nothing special. Simple cusine and short menu, with some options not even available. The local antipasto was just fine (the waiter wasn't able to describe what it was composed of when taking our order), as well as the meat. The house wine is rather watery. Overall, I'm not sure that it is worth the drive since equal or better food can be found anywhere else in the area.

Ampio locale diviso in 3 sale adatto a banchetti ,chiuso solo il lunedi!
Got to "Il Federale" with a colleague during a business trip, since our hotel was nearby. Unlucky for us, as it was overpriced, un-tasty, and even a bit scary. The "scary" part is due to the countless pictures of Mussolini all over, waiters in black uniform and the severe hostess (which seemed like the owner). Although we were only asked for our preference for a main dish, we were bombarded by lots of primi piati, which we were not aware of initially, to a point where we didn't even have an appetite for the main dish and asked them not to serve it.The starters were quite odd-tasting (and that's coming from someone willing to eat almost anything). The smoked salmon had lots of bones in it, the calamari was as chewy as a rubber imitation of it, and the salads were weirdly seasoned. The black risotto we got was mediocre, and the only starter which was good was the pasta. However, all these we're too much for starters, so even though we were two hungry grown men, we had to give up on the main dish. The â¬70 bill topped our dinner, making it quite clear that we made the wrong choice for dinner. Simply not worth it.The swastika outside made it clear - keep away.

The Sapori Ristorante del Borgo is a small bijoux , that goes to enhance the Artena restaurants .
I stopped here attracted by the set menus on display outside. Once inside, I was told these didn't apply that day. I sat and ordered a risotto with scampi sauce. A tiny portion arrived which cost 9 Euros. Then a mixed grill of shrimps and calamari, equally small in portion, and priced at 14 Euros. Considering the prices here (when compared to other restaurants in the Artena/Lariano area) it's not worth eating here. Give the place a miss! The waitress and waiter were pretty unfriendly on top of it all. Head to 'Il Bersagliere' or Pizzeria 'Prati' at Lariano for a fantastic meal at incredibly affordable prices!

Worth looking up if you are in the area, even worth having a day out here specially.Hidden down an alleyway in the historic centre, you will find this young dynamic team who deserve every encouragement.Try the "viaggio" mixed seafood antipasto, imaginative, fresh from the sea, truly a gastronomic journey. The bill was a bit high, but considering the quality and quantity we received, I wouldn't complain. You get what you pay for And that is the top. They also offered some dishes free.Well worth a detour, it's easy by train from Rome.

Ci ritorneremo sicuramente.
