We were fortunate to have lunch recently at Luna Blu, a small Italian restaurant near the Church Circle in downtown Annapolis. The restaurant has a broad variety of salads, sandwiches and main courses, and offers a soup and salad combination that is very reasonably priced. My wife and I had two delicious salads and sandwiches, one eggplant the other steak. Service was quick and courteous. We will return!

It would be easy to miss this establishment and that would be a shame. Service was great. We got the spanakopita for appetizer....amazing!!! Got the gyro and pasticho. Wonderful. To my 250,000 readers this is must stop.

Arrived shortly after they opened and were given our choice of seating.....James was our server, very pleasant and professional and allowed us to take our time ordering. My companion had the steak salad that looked amazing and he said was delicious. I ordered the Mediterranean salad with salmon -- the salad was as described but I would not order again; mostly sliced raw vegetables that dominated the salad greens and Feta cheese. The menu had numerous, delicious sounding options and I will definitely return.

We went for a late lunch. Promptly seated, but then the problems began. Waited 5 minutes...tried to catch a passing waiterâs eye...but no one would make eye contact. Hostess was busing tables, but didnât check on tables to see that they were receiving service. We talked about walking out, but since we werenât in a hurry we decided to see how this would play-out. Finally, a server came, apologized for the wait and took our drink orders. Another five minute wait. A waitress stopped by because it was so obvious that we werenât receiving any service, She went to check on our drink order. Came back with water glasses and informed us that no one knew where the bartender was, so she asked the manager to make our drinks. Another several minute wait. It is so disheartening because the food here is actually pretty good. But, good food doesnât make up for poor service. The waiter knew service was bad, other wait staff knew the service was bad, but the manager didnât come by to apologize. He walked around, but never addressed the problems. It will be a while before we go back.

Great Italian deli/market just outside Annapolis Towne Center, opposite corner from Whole Foods. I love their minestrone soup. They have pasta dinners, salads, sandwiches to serve to eat there or take out, also a freezer section, Italian groceries, deli counter and wines. People are very nice! Last weekend had ordered minestrone (about $6) with a side of antipasto salad ($3.50), then I saw that the sandwich special was Serrano Ham, mozzarella and fresh basil with a side of fruit. Darn! I bet that would have been wonderful. I'll check specials from now on. Really great food, and the people are very nice. Parking is a little challenging there, but there are free parking garages within a block.We appreciate you taking the time to write a review - thank you!

Great location (although parking is $3 for two hours), great staff, and food is consistently excellent with generous portions at a fair price (lower actually than comparable area eateries of equal quality). Some traditional and novel takes on classic Italian. See you again soon!

This would have been a 5 star review but for a heavy handed rosemary seasoning to the veal saltimboca.Apps were delicious, perfectly grilled calamari on arugula and a shared antipasto platter.Entrees matched as well ex. for the veal....good but overpowered by rosemary. Vongole linguine, halibut and an unique pasta with broccolini and tortellini with mushroom, shallots speck and parmesan sauce all were excellent. Portions sized perfectly; service very helpful and accommodating for any changes requested. Wine list heavy on Italian as expected with many options priced at reasonable markups. Very good bread accented with evo was enjoyed by all esp. our toddler.We'll plan to return when visiting soon.Atmosphere was attractive, open style and noise level well under control.
