Visited Chatterpauls today and found that this is a great place to take clients. Good location in Whitby. Intimate and quite tables. Excellent and efficient service. Very good selection of wine. Wide variety of food and all was tasty and well presented. My husband and I were referred to this delightful eatery by a sweet lady at Artisan & Specialty Cheese, at 289b Kingston Road (They were closed on Monday but the lady was working on a fundraiser). I had a rice ball with cheese in the middle, breaded chicken (Chicken Parmesan), vegetable with sausage dish, cooked and cut potatoes, and then finished up our meal with cannelloni pastry, butter maple tart, and pecan butter tart. My husband had a chicken sandwich which he really enjoyed. I wish I had asked the lady at the counter, who was otherwise very helpful, to heat the chicken and rica ball in the microwave. It was warm, not hot.We did enjoy a flavorful lunch.

Had dinner at Amici's with my wife and sister-in-law. We came here because of the previous reports on TripAdvisor and were not disappointed in any way. Everything about this place was excellent! Our server, Marco, was one of the best waiters we've ever had. He was extremely attentive, knowledgable and friendly. The food was extremely good as well. My sister-in-law raved about her appetizer and her entree. My wife did the same. I had the Ceaser salad, which was huge and very delicious. My entree, the veal parmigiana, was equally as tasty. We would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Pickering, Canada area.

Apart from music "leaking" from a nearby wedding reception, our event was excellent, the food served on time and with good quantities and quality (chicken Parmesan and veggie, preceded by a good vinaigrette salad and followed by a decadent dessert) the service friendly and competent.

My wife's cousin and her husband were celebrating their anniversary and we all went out for dinner. First thoughts, the place is small and we were seated near a set of steps which lead to the entrance, since it was 8pm seating they were not much of a problem. My app with beef barley soup which isn't very Italian, but as I am a soup hound, it was very good. My wife had crab cakes with she said was very good. Our friends split a order of pasta which they said was o.k. but not what they were used to when they ordered it at home. We ordered 4 different mains and all agreed theirs was good. Service was good, and young wait staff, worked hard to please. Price was about right, Would recommend to others but I normally do not frequent Italian restaurants. Nice time though.

Made the drive from Oshawa because of the great pizza and owner Donna goes out of her way to make us feel welcome. Good price and pizza is always the same - lots of toppings and so delicious. Need a fork and knife to eat.Everything on the menu is home made and good

We frequently dine at Il Fornello. Our family is always happy there. We booked a large reservation for our daughter's birthday and reserved the library. When we arrived we were seated in another section because the other party wasn't quite ready to leave. We were not happy because our guests were sitting in corners to make it work and seeing that left us very disappointed. Cassandra, our server, was absolutely fantastic! She acknowledged that she knew us, that she'd served our family many times and was so apologetic of the seating arrangement. I just wanted to share that all of our friends were so overly impressed with Cassandra's level of customer service. She went above and beyond. I hope that she gets recognized for her ability to make the customer happy, because this trait is clearly not in everyone. We walked away feeling happy, she genuinely cared and is amazing at what she does. Thanks Cassandra for everything you did for us You know we will definitely be back!

Selection of pizza is fantastic - the pizza sauce is to die for and the pizza crust is perfectly made and cooked. Pasta is also delicious. The staff were very patient and friendly. It is counter service with a liquor license - they have Stella on tap which was a nice complement to the pizza. Canât wait to go back.
