Decided to celebrate our birthday at Santabbondio. the place is just amazing and really exceptional. Both inside and outside the atmosphere is just sublime. The food is very creative, well presented and of great taste. The waiter was also fantastic, very knowledgeable and of great help with his advice. A memorable place to go and eat. Decent place for a dinner with very friendly service, but I wouldn't go out of my way to dine there again. We had Antipasti Morchino, grilled rabbit and luganighetta sausage. Cheese and most of the cold cuts were very good and I also enjoyed their sausage. I wasn't impressed with the rabbit though. The meat wasn't as juicy and flavorful as I expected. Also, I doubt that our dishes were done on actual grill. At least, I didn't see it outside, but it may be different during warmer time of a year. Also, keep in mind that they have menu only in Italian, so may want to check their English menu online.Hi IhorM,Thanks for your review.I'm glad that you enjoyed our specialities.As for the rabbit, Iâve to mention thatâs usually not cooked on the grill in our area.We prepare it stewed served with its sauce and polenta.The meat of the rabbit is however a fairly dry meat without fat and therefore we prefer to prepare it stewed.The grill is located at the end on our summer terrace and from there all the grilled meats arrive, taken care of our âchefâ.Ours is a typical place where we want to maintain its âtypicalityâ by leaving the menu in our Italian language.For translations we have our website and the staff can explain the menu in English, French, German for those who do not speak Italian.Best regardsPierluigi Olgiati

This small restaurant, with just 1 waitress and delicious food, is definitely worth a stop on your visit to Lugano/Paradiso. We enjoyed a delicious and very reasonably priced meal here. This is a cosy restaurant with the feel of a country inn, there are a few tables in each room, so do call ahead for a reservation. We had the grilled lambchops and there were mouth wateringly delicious!!!!

We went tonight to Cavagna, the twin restaurant of La fermata in Cassarate.The place is quite large and even has an outdoor terrace; I strongly suggest to book your table because the place gets indeed quite crowded.We ordered burgers, tacos and a pizza, plus desserts at the end. Everything was delicious, service very friendly and prices fair for the quantity and quality of food you get to eat.Overall a great place with a wide selection of beers and tasty food.Totally recommend

The restaurant is a special place with view on the Lugano Lake and the Mountains. Staff are attentive with impeccable service. The food is high-quality, well- cooked and displayed. I thought it was great!Food was simple yet typical and very good. Menu was surprising - in a good way! ;)Loved the team, professional and welcoming. I felt at home...which is exactly what they aim for based on their interior, the ambiance, the fire burning in the chimney...They were present but not constantly waiting around the table, taking plates away and making you feel like you need to rush...super friendly!Such a relaxing experience even though it was a corporate dinner. Grotto style!Aiming to go back soon!

Tabla is located in a beautiful location not far from the centre of Lugano. An eclectic menu, scrumptious dishes, sophisticated ambience and charm of the team, it just can't get better. If you are craving for authentic Indian or high quality Italian dishes, Tabla is the place to be. Highly recommended.

Dinner for 17 people, excellent dishes, very friendly, helpful and dedicated staff. We started off with some delicious pappardelle ai funghi porcini (noodles with porcini mushroom) and trofie al pesto. After that, most of us ate beef filet with pepper sauce. As a dessert we had a fresh made mille-feuille with cream, strawberries and forest fruits... never had better! I can only recommend this place to anyone, who truly loves Italian cuisine!

My husband booked us a table at this charming grotto for a Sunday lunch whilst we were staying in the Induna Olona area. Although we have travelled in the area a number of times, we hadn't experienced a genuine 'grotto' - and what a delightful experience it turned out to be. We were seated at the end of a large, communal dining bench, under a pergola heavy with vines. An olive wood board of exquisitely rustic charcuterie arrived - and rapidly disappeared... as did a bottle of the local red wine, which we drank from small pottery cups, grotto-style. Mains were perfectly grilled cuts of pork and lamb from the barbecue. Grotto del Cavic was packed with families enjoying their Sunday lunches - it was a wonderful atmosphere in a very pretty setting and the food was superb. It also made a welcome change from some of the region's more formal, finer dining restaurants.

We tried to find a nice spot in the city for lunch but left 2 other establishments because of no service. Came across Vitti and immediately liked the ambience. The lady serving us was extremely friendly and very helpful to assist in compiling a vegan friendly lunch menu.
