stopped in for a a little refreshment and a snack, glad we did. It is a small place and it seems crowded especially when a tour bus stops a block away and people are streaming towards the cafe. We had an excellent Fish Chowder, I mean excellent!!

A family run pub/restaurant serving delicious Irish food using a wide range of local suppliers. A diverse/affordable wine list is available as well as fully stocked bar with a range of artisan beers and cocktails. We have a dedicated area for children wit
We were in Parknasilla for our sons 7th birthday and decided to go back to OâSheas for dinner as we had visited over the past couple of years. Other than the food being fantastic on this occasion we were absolutely blown away by the customer service. From the second we walked in the door we felt welcome and comfortable, especially with the chap behind the bar Rory that was serving us. He was so friendly and helpful and was fantastic with the kids. All I can say is he is an absolute credit to his parents because he is an absolute gentleman and had manners to burn and OâSheas training must be top notch. We canât wait to go back and are already planning another trip. See you soon guys

They made me a vegan pizza, basically just veggies on pizza crust. AND-IT-WAS-THE-BOMB! I still dont understand what they did but it was the best pizza and lunch i had over my 2 week trip in ireland. You should definitely go! And my partner had a chicken sandwich, which was very good as well.

Drinking good wine with good food in good company is one of life's most civilized pleasures." - Michael Broadbent Our restaurant follows these simple principles: quality ingredients locally sourced cooked to perfection served with highest standards
Have eaten (dined) here many times now & can honestly say that we have NEVER been disappointed. Mark, Grace & the girls really make you feel welcome from the get-go. A very comfortable pre-dinner drinks area followed by excellent service & of course Mark's special cooking come together to always provide an unrivaled local experience. They have recently doubled the size of the outside area so on warm days or balmy evenings its a great location to enjoy the views.Of course you can also find Mark enjoying his well-earned Guinness after long shifts in his hot kitchen or around his massive outside braai & enjoy a sound conversation about food or sport especially rugby....but dont mention the Boks recent performance at RWC !Dear WishIWasSailing,Now that I have typed your user name, I wish I was sailing too!We are delighted you enjoyed your visits and look forward to welcoming you many times more.Let's hope we all get the RWC 2019 results we want.Regards,Grace

First, book the earliest time for dinner that you can if you are driving from anywhere so you don't have to drive in the dark. (Josie apparently offers B&B so that would be a good idea.) We drove from Kenmare and chose to forgo dessert as we were concerned since the darkness/fog was setting in. We were disappointed to skip dessert as both our appetizers and mains were delicious. The view out to the lake is absolutely stunning. It is so pristine, so beautiful, that it would be worth it to eat here even if the food were not of the high standard that it is. So worth the drive, just again, it really would be ideal to have the earliest possible reservation as driving is precarious enough in this area.

Josie's Lakeview House is one of those hard-to-find and worth it places. We were taken there by our driver/guide for coffee because of the unbelieveable setting and I was disappointed it wasn't for lunch. Josie's menu is straightforward and applealing. She was extremely gracious, even though not yet open, and made us cappuchino. In addition to the charming interior, the patio surrounded by terraced gardens is a knockout!

Helen's Bar (also known as Teddy O'Sullivan's) is located in a stunning part of Ireland. It is frequented by locals and visitors alike and the food is really good! Try the local mussels! The service on both occasions (March and July) was friendly and efficient (but we did have to ask for extra bread in order to mop up the mussel juices - one slice per person is really not enough). In March we had visions of July and sitting out on the pier outside the pub enjoying the food and atmosphere... unfortunately the weather that July evening did not permit this. The next evening driving past Helen's Bar in glorious weather we could see that all the seats outside were taken up by people enjoying the food in such beautiful surroundings... Maybe on one of our next visits we will be that lucky.

Honestly they have the best chips I've ever had, and the most amazing toasted sandwiches. The mussels are spot on! The atmosphere is brilliant and the view is absolutely gorgeous. The staff are beyond friendly and welcoming. The service was also incredible. Highly recommend!

We were happy to get a reservation at this delightful, truly gourmet restaurant. I started with Hanleyâs black pudding, not something that would usually attract me but it was delicious. My husband had the quartet of crostini and raved after every bite. He followed with the potato gnocchi while I had the supreme of chicken and we both were delighted. Dessert was equally wonderful...The only blip might have been that we asked for tea and were left to pour our own cups from a very full exceedingly hot teapot that was hard to handle. But otherwise a lovely evening.
