This place was recommended by a cousin who lived locally.I was with my brother. He asked for a small cod. When he received it he jokingly said was it a small whale! The portions were huge but it was no problem .I have not tasted such nice fish since we had fish that had just been caught when I visited Hastings. We both had a meal deal which included a drink and mushy peas.I don't think I should have ordered mushy peas as I think I have lost the taste for them but fish and chips were fantastic. The staff were very well trained and went out of the way to make you feel welcome as customers should be.Hello john s,Thanks for taking the time to review our Seafood Bar, Glad to see that you listened toyour cousin and called into us and that you left feeling fully satisfied. We are lucky to havegreat staff working with us - they do a great job.Hope to see you again.Kind Regards Liam Quinlan

Recently had the pleasure of experiencing the delightful carrig house , set on the shoreline of carragh lake . On arrival we were met by a very gracious host frank . We were offered drinks in the beautiful reception room with magnificent views over the lake , while we were pondering over the evening dinner menu , also frank informed us of the evening specials also . Our order was taken , and we sat back and just relaxed before being called into the amazing restaurant again with captivating views. Our meal was outstanding perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Local produce is priority in this restaurant and they certainly know how to prepare and cook it . Our overall experience was exceptional. Thanks to the management and staff for a evening to remember, and certainly will be returning.

This place is known for two things - Irish coffee, and the adjacent Bog Village. After the village, we stopped in for the comfort stop and a coffee. Their Irish coffee has kind of a widespread reputation, but I suspect it is largely hype. Besides, I don't really like Irish Coffee. I love my coffee, and Irish whiskey may be nectar of the gods, but I don't care for them mixed. Anyway, their coffee was very good, and their prices seemed reasonable. Service was fast despite a crowd of bus tourists.

We only came for drinks, having already eaten elsewhere. Frankly, we wished we had come here for dinner. The place was lively on a Tuesday night, and the food looked and smelled awesome. The drinks were good and the service was friendly. Next time, weâre coming here for dinner.

Rosspoint is a family run restaurant overlooking the beautiful Rossbeigh beach. Food is served from 12 every day and there is a range of food to suit all tastes. There is live entertainment at weekends
We were a group of 6 who popped in after a cool swim on the beautiful Rossbeigh beach. What a surprise to find top notch cuisine and service with a smile off the beaten track and with such a stunning view. Each one of us gave each dish that we had 10/10, prawns, hake, chicken, with beautiful salad, veggies and potatoes in different forms and all served with professionalism - this combined with a great welcome from June, Con and staff, made for a 6 very satisfied customers who hope to get back there ASAP - well done all at Ross PointThank you for your fantastic review. I will pass on your compliments to Con, the chef and staff. Lovely to get such great feedback. Hopefully we will see you all again.

We visited this attractive bar / restaurant for a late lunch. My wife chose scampi and fries, and the scampi were really good, fat and succulent with a light, not-too-fatty batter. My crab salad was also fresh and richly garnished. The bar is the focus of attention, and the tables seem like a bit of an afterthought and the space gets a bit cramped if, like during our visit, the local sports team is in drinking.

Our B&B hosts recommended the Glenbeigh Inn for a tasty and moderately priced meal, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant interior was full, so we sat at one of the picnic tables outside, which as pleasant except for the noise from the busy street into the village. Each of us ordered a different mealâmussels, salmon, fish & chips and seafood chowderâand we all enjoyed our choices. The history of this establishment shines through, and the servers were friendly. Recommended.

Award Winning Burger Restaurant We farm our own Beef Serving only 100% Beef & 100% Potato; Burger & Chips We also offer "BYOB" bring your own bottle of beer or wine
My husband and I, Americans both, were on our way to fish and chips when we saw this modest looking but NOT TO BE MISSED restaurant on a Kilorglin side street. When we went in, early by Irish standards, we were met by James, the owner and chef! His greeting was warm and very welcoming, and we had the chance to learn about this eleven year old local establishment that is, indeed, the real thing. I ordered the Smokey and my husband had The King Puck, a double decker dream of a burger. Both had special sauce, cheese and coleslaw (mine came with smoked Irish bacon). We also ordered hand cut fries, perfectly cooked as well as perfectly salted (not too much). When I asked for ice for my Coke, he managed to locate some from across the street? The service, his kindly chat, and the quality of the food makes it a "not to be missed" burger heaven and haven. Thank you, James, for the lovely meal. Thank you so so much for your kind words and fantastic review. It was an absolute pleasure to meet you and I'm just delighted that you enjoyed your food so much. XX
