Great Asian inspired restaurant. They had a couple of my favourite dishes. Lovely, fresh decor and the staff were friendly and attentive. I was dining on my own, which can be a bit daunting, but felt totally at ease there. Can't imagine anyone being disappointed here. Would recommend.

A friend and I visited The Villager recently for an evening meal. We were both very impressed with the food, the ingredients were excellent quality. Service was very good, friendly and efficient. Setting was very relaxing also. I would recommend and I'll be back again.

The restaurant was full and buzzing on a Saturday afternoon when we came in for lunch. This place is just around the corner from Athlone castle. Staff was very friendly, and the food was fresh and very well made. Prices are very reasonable as well. We loved the homey small town local atmosphere, and we highly recommend you look it up when in town!

Welcome to Hatter's Lane Bistro at Strand Street on Athlone's Leinster shore. Ideally located 3 minutes from the Town Bridge, Radisson, Prince of Wales and Sheraton hotels. The Hollywood themed bistro offers a welcoming cosy atmosphere with open fire, che
This restuarunt seriously impressed us . I booked a meal here for my partner and I for his birthday. We had travelled from Northern Ireland to stay in a hotel close by for a couple of nights . Traditional pub close to town centre and all visitor attractions. Lovely pub grub reasonably priced and good service. Great beer garden and staff are very accommodating overall. Will be back.

Stopped here for lunch based upon TripAdvisor reviews. Food appalling, one small bowl of vegetables between four people, equated to one very small piece of broccoli per person! Mash potato saturated with salt, replaced with wedges, which resembled and tasted like the previous days left over potatoes! Left this establishment feeling nauseated. NEVER AGAIN

Daytime fine dining with traditional table service.Reservations available.Established in 2012 this family owned restaurant is renowned for its quality, style and service. A must for visitors to Athlone who require a little something special.
Have been here quite regularly. I find Athlone difficult to find a great lunch place in. The corner house has a lovely interior, great staff and a varied menu. They often offer a complimentary little taster cup of their soup of the day which is a lovely touch. However for lunch time standards, I find their choices to be a little pricey for what can sometimes be quite small portions. Still highly recommend, just something to be aware of. Also think it has great potential for an evening dinner, they should consider opening later !!

We were celebrating 2 anniversaries so wanted to enjoy a nice meal with good service. Unfortunately, we got neither. Service was haphazard and sour, not at all friendly. Drinks were missed and we had to keep chasing. The food was also not up to the prices - lack of flavour and over cooked fish were just some examples. Would not recommend.
