The hotel booked this restaurant for us (recommended by a local friend) though we found it hard to locate as lots of restaurants don't show their English names! But as we ventured gingerly inside what we thought was the right place, the main man came to the door and said "Susan-San?" so I knew we were in the right place......I guess he knew it was us as we were the only westerners! We ordered a set meal from the picture menu which gave us a large beer and a choice of 3 dishes each. We also added a miso soup each for about £1. The whole bill came to ¥1200 each! I particularly recommend the Fried mussels, Deep Fried Tuna and Pork & kimchi (beware, kimchi is spicy!)

After visiting the Asakusa shrines and temples a few blocks from here, you can't help being very hungry, and Yoshikami is the right place to go. Nothing pretentious, there: a classic neighbourhood restaurant with attentive service (of course) and good comforting food that became rather popular over the years (reputation well deserved). The open kitchen provides flavours that make mouth water! The decoration is from another decade (half a century ago) but this makes you feel good and welcome. Portions are generous. I tried one of the rice plates and the tenderloin steak. Both were very tasty and the meat was juicy, really good. Again this is simple, this is affordable, and it is also very very good! I saw in other plates the beef stew, the chicken rice, more steaks, pork cutlets, omelets, everything looked really tasty, freshly prepared.

Perfect for a quick bite on the move, good quality food and brilliant value for money, a bit like Yo Sushi but better and not sushi! Most places are like this in Tokyo, very quick but tasty and filling. Stop in as many as you can find, maybe non chain ones as they may be the best food youâll have!

Have you ever experienced âslumping the meetâ? When it comes to the paper meal... is yes you are right. MEAT! A4-ranked Japanese black wagyu is heated in a low temperature for 7 hours. That made its texture melted and juicy. Iâm sure everyone on the earth
Food is juicy and nice. Waiter service is friendly. Tender Wagyu beef. Long queue but worth the wait. Should Come and visit. Near akihabara station.

I love the Moomin and I wanted to try this place out. We arrived quite early on a Friday morning and were seated right away. The food is good although expensive, but at least you can eat something satisfying. We had the pancakes with fruit and a latte. The best part is of course hanging out with the Moomin. As the restaurant was quite empty when we were there we got quite a few to share our meal with. Interestingly everyone in there was an adult. There is also a shop attached to the restaurant if you want to buy some merchandise. Remember to enter through the shop, and then ring the bell to let the restaurant know you are waiting to be seated. I recommend this, its really cute and unique.

Great bar, supposedly the oldest western bar in Tokyo (since 1880) but surprisingly with very few if any westerners. We had the signature Denki Bran snaps:ish and a beer. Great place to hang out In a completely in-fancy way! PS: You order and pay at the entrance to get vouchers, then find a place and you are served.
