Have had breakfast, lunch and dinner here on several occasions and never disappointed. I especially like their specials, sometimes schnitzel, sometimes liver and onions, and the menu is varied as well. Breakfasts are great as they aren't just served with toast, but with fresh soft rolls. Highly recommend. Closed on Wednesdays.

Went for dinner Dec 17 2016. wasn't even sure if it was open. They had to dust off the tables after we were seated, then they started sweeping the floor, and rearranging tables, restocking the bar. We thought we were imposing on them. The food was decent and fair quantity. The killer came when we left and noticed 2 rat traps sitting right beside the stairs, made us want to upchuck.Menu has not changed in forever. Décor is getting shabby once again not updated in forever. Always used to see the owner present but not lately.Eaten here many times in the pastNot likely to return

The first time we went here, food was and service was ok. The 2nd time was on friday, when they have this special offer "2 for 1". We ordered black angus-steaks, but it took nearly two hours before we got our disher. Unfortunatelly, plates wasn't anything what we expected: steak was small, dry and well-done even we both asked it medium. Sides weren't the same as we ordered and also the sauce was different. We told about this to the waiter and it took again like 40 minutes before we got new plates. We notices that nearly everyone at the restaurant at that time were not satisfied. The music was too loud, it was impossible to chat. I recomment you to avoid this place, specially the "special offer" they have.

I was in Sosua again this year. The place is still there and still excellent. Nothing much has changed from my previous review. Jeff is still there, but they other guys moved on. They got a new guy, John. Still a very friendly stuff, and the food is excellent quality and preparation. Highly recommend.

Friends of ours wanted to take us to breakfast, so we chose El Conde. Eggs Benedict was terrible. The sauce, which should have been hollandaise, was a sour, soupy, citrusy concoction which left a burning sensation in your mouth. The English muffin was so hard it could not be cut. The eggs over easy ordered by our friend were hard cooked, not over easy. I had the French toast which was a stack of three English muffins with strawberry sauce. The English muffins were not completely soaked in the egg mixture, so were like the ones in the Eggs Benedict - hard, dry, and tough to cut. Then - the motor conchos sit right outside the restaurant, talking so load you couldnât hear to talk to each other. This was a disaster of a meal and an embarrassment as we had heard good things about El Conde. Because of this experience we will not be back for fear of getting an uneatable meal.

Had dinner last night and the menu has everything. The pasta bolognese was delicious but the whole fish dinner was more amazing. Great service and the terrace looked lovely also. Great for people watching.

City, the restaurant at Casa Valeria, has always been a reliable favorite in Sosua. For a few months, however, it seemed the new owners and staff were struggling to find their feet. With the very welcome addition of Chef Thilo in the kitchen, things are back on track. The menu is fairly extensive, but the best choices are always Thilo's specials. He is the king of curries, and you can't go wrong with the chicken or the beef, whichever is on the menu. One of my favorites is the very simple grilled fish with almonds and lemon-butter and fluffy, rich mashed potatoes. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the value for the peso is very good. Highly recommended!Thank You for your kind review. We are looking forward to have you here again at The City Restaurant.Best Regards.
