The food here is excellent - from the brownies and tortillas to menu del dia: I've never had anything less than fantastic. It has plenty of space indoors as well as a large garden perfect for smokers. It's also reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

Not had much experience of Mexican restaurants, but the reviews seemed to indicate this was worth a visit - and they were right. Really cosy and cheerful establishment, fantastic service, and even a chance to meet the chef who proudly showed us his array of special ingredients, and tried to explain what went into the chocolate and chili dip. We had nachos - which they offered to make as a single serving but with 2 different types, a chicken gringo - a sort of flat bread with cheese and chicken and guacamole, and this chocolate dip which we were offered free of charge - along with free Mexican coffees. They could not have been more attentive or eager to please, and the food was delicious and good value. Euros 16 with a drink each for the 2 of us. Love Spanish food but its nice to have a chance to try something different. The Mexican sangria looked potent, as we saw it being made - and would make a lovely drink to share with friends whilst relaxing and sampling the different dishes. Will be back.

La Cava is a cuisine d'auteur restaurant, with markedly traditional bases but innovative spirit. We use top quality products from our kitchen garden and local producers. We round this cuisine with a long and well balanced wine selection. The building is a
I had the pleasure of dining at La Cava on 3 nights over my 1 week trip to Spain. The decor and music create the perfect ambience to accompany the high quality food and wine. The chef is extremely talented, and well travelled, bring an Asian inspired influence to her menu which is packed full of fresh home grown ingredients. Some of the dishes I had and would recommend are:- Chicken Tikka Masala (see photo - it was as delicious as it looks!)- Lamb Kebabs with Vietnamese Steamed Bread (the lamb literally melts in your mouth, the sauce was exquisite, and I loved the steamed bread which I had never tried before)- Vegetable Tempura (yummy fresh vegetables)- Falafels (really crispy with a wonderful yogurt based sauce)The presentation of all of the food was excellent and it tasted just as good as it looked!La Cava also houses a wonderful selection of wines that are carefully selected by the Chef; I received great wine recommendations from her each night that were exactly to my taste. And finally... the price - wow - extremely reasonable! I would have expected to pay, and have been more than happy to have paid, at least double, if not more! You really couldn't ask for more! What are you waiting for... go to La Cava, you won't be disappointed!

We went to Frida on a Thursday night and were warmly welcomed by the waiter, who made us feel at ease instantaneously. We ordered the nachos-machos and quesadillas, both of which we shared. Canât say the portion of quesadillas were too big but the nachos were the best Iâve had!: home made and so was the tasty guacamole. Finally, we ordered dessert: the strawberry crumble which was the cherry on top of the cake, fresh and not too sweet, just the right combination of flavors. I wish I could stay for longer in Santander just so that I could go back to Frida for dinner!
