We had dinner here. There is a good selection of meat, fish or vegetarian. International/mediterranean menu. The food was beautiful, prepared freshly with good quality ingredients.Service was good and the price reasonable. The restaurant is characterful with country style decor and a good atmosphere.Slightly hard to find. It is in a courtyard with some other restaurants. It could be useful to have a bolder sign on the entrance. In any event it is opposite the church which should help locate it.

Made in Home is a small family restaurant & great place with wonderful food for every taste! Come & try!
It was our first restaurant we have visited at Sofia. We have chosen it according to tripadvisor ranking, the rate was high and we are ready to confirm it. A large portion of salad and mussels on white wine cost about 17-18 euro. And we consider it is very good price. We left this place fed up and satisfied.

Original cuisine and meals prepared with love and passion!
5 Oct Shtastlivetsa. Visited for Saturday lunch with two girlfriends in the upstairs restaurant, which is a beautifully decorated gallery landing style 1st floor with pretty floral decoration in the middle. The dining room style is classy and a little funky with some interesting sofas and benches at some tables. We spent 3 hours having a long, boozy lunch, trying many (far too many, our fault!) of their delicious dishes and left very satisfied and very full! They have copies of the extensive menu in English and everything is very clearly described so it's very easy to choose. All the dishes we tried were excellent, washed down with a lovely local pale Rose wine. Highly recommend this restaurant, located in the modern part of town on a smart pedestrianised street.

I went to this place yesterday to have lunch with a friend. I have severe gluten intolerance with pretty bad symptoms. The dish I went for was some sort of a vegan biftek. On the menu I could see this dish does not contain any GLUTEN. I have had some pretty bad experiences with gluten in other Bulgarian restaurants and decided to ask the waitress once again whether the dish or the sauce accompanying it contains any. She very firmly assured me it is gluten-free. After having it 30 minutes later I was hit with very bad reaction(typical for me after I have gluten, this lasts for couple of days after I have been exposed to it). So I wonder what if a person has a life-threatening gluten allergy where just a bite could cause anaphylaxis? I just donât understand why these restaurants and the people managing them do not realise how detrimental gluten consumption is for some people??? Iâm never going back there again. So if you have a similar problem please be aware that what they claim on their menu in regards to allergens is not really true...

First time here, and apparently was highly recommended and had a great reputation. It is simply the best place in Sofia, i have been in and around bulgaria with work since 2012.The staff, food, quality and the wine is second to none, a lovely ambience. With this means itâs not the cheapest place however worth every penny.Superb steaks,All 4 of my party had different starters, moans and desserts and we were all blown away. Only one warning to créme brûlée is awful, and apparently they always undercook this despite it being mentioned many times and it comes very wet and slightly ârawâ

Great choice of wine to compliment your lunch / dinner. One of Sofia's hidden gems! A must visit for any foodie in town. Fresh seasonal ingredients cooked to perfection! Hats off to the chef - must visit! Great and high quality food and amazing experience
We visited Nikoâlas two weeks ago on a family reunion dinner. Itâs a cozy family run restaurant with a great sense of hospitality and eye on details. It was a pleasing experience because of chef Tsvetomir Nikolov and his bespoke culinary creations merging Asian savours in Bulgarian traditional dishes. We ordered the 5-course tasting menu which finally turned into 8 perfect plates accompanied with pairing wines of small Bulgarian wineries.I provide some pictures of them as I couldnât follow all surprises which came from the kitchen of chef Nikolov.Thank you so much for your kind review. We'll be glad to welcome you again

Cozy, boutique restaurant in the very heart of Sofia. The restaurant is located in a 3-floor house with a sunny and quite front garden. The menu is short, but each meal is carefully selected to meet the highest expectations for taste, creativity and prese
This was our second visit to Aubergine and canât recommend it highly enough. We started with the houmous selection with bread. Very generous portions and the waitress brought us extra bread. For our main course I had the ribs and my partner had pork cheeks. Both were delicious. The generous portion of cheeks were succulent and melt in the mouth. The ribs were very meaty, very tasty and again melt in the mouth. It is a quirky building with lots of little rooms and an outside area. The rooms are nicely decorated in a modern style. We were eating early evening, they fitted us in. You would normally need to book a table as it seems very popular. In twelve years of visiting Bulgaria we have had some loverly meals but Aubergine been our favourite so far.Highly recommended!!

Went there for lunch today and ordered from the regular (not daily lunch) menu. I ordered burrata with chanterelle. But I received burrata with ordinary mushrooms. The waitress didn't even bother to ask me whether i would confirm the order with changed ingredients. the price was the same. The starter was fine, but this not what you might expect from this restaurant.
