The Christmas eve dinner in the Beach Restaurant was a fantastic event. A nice variety of people and nationalities; not the normal 95% Russians that is the norm in in Sharm these days. This was, according to the staff, due to the price keeping the cheapy package tour FSU folk away. This made for a nice international event. The choice of main course was Turkey, Salmon and Beef. Our group tried all three and all were excellent. Open bar was a refreshing change from having to pay exorbitant rates for individual drinks and we had no problem enjoying local spirits. The waiters were super attentive and the entertainment was superb. The highlight was undoubtably the Whirling Dervish guy who was simply fantastic and provided an amazing 20-25 min show.

The touristy setting this is in could be excused for distracting you from this restaurant however we ate there several times on our week in Sharm and the food was always good and reasonably priced. Service great. No alcohol but they will go to the shop or you can bring it with you. If you decide to bring it with you use Tonys across the road cheaper and more helpful than the one next to it.

once during the rest went to this restaurant at the Grand Rotana. We spent a pleasant evening. I liked roasted meat with spices.We were served quickly and efficiently. conditions in the restaurant is also good

Visited the lounge in sept 2014 and rated as excellent so was really looking forward to visiting again in Oct 2015. Everything appeared the same , same menus, and same place. Ordered food which was served quickly and was hot but compared to last year was very disappointing. The pies were nowhere near the quality of last year and did not taste home made, the pastry was soggy and microwaved. The chips were not crispy and tasted of stale oil. We did not have dessert. We were 2 couples and we're all very disappointed as we had told others at the hotel to visit as it had amazing food and on this occasion it really wasn't. Even the friendly atmosphere of last year appeared to be missing. Even before we had received the food. There was no chatting or welcoming which was so evident last year.
