Looking for something different, my Bestie and I stumbled across Kaufman House. The house is a beautifully done historic house. The owners/chef/hostess are totally delightful. We ordered the special of the day which was Salmon cakes. They were beyond incredible! You must try them just for the homemade pickles...Thank you for coming to the Francis Kaufman House to eat. Spread the word that we are not a hotel bu restaurant. Thanks again

My wife and I trekked to downtown Philadelphia yesterday for one hour in traffic to have brunch with some friends at a new, beautiful cafe that I rated as average for food and a remarkably vanilla, unadventuresome menu. Today we brunched at Euro Delights on the main drag of charming New Hope-like Skippack. I have passed this place dozens of time wondering why the outdoor porch was always so crowded. Today we found out. OMG! The restaurant is so old, small and unassuming, that it has tons of charm The brunch menu made our mouths water just from reading it. My wife's omelette came with potatoes mixed with onions, and a luscious biscuit, in contrast to the stark lone omelette on a large plate at the cafe yesterday. My frittata with cheese, tomatoes, etc. served in a brown crock to keep it piping hot, was delish!! On side were 2 crepes filled will fruit. Double Delish! I too was given a biscuit, with which I mopped up the excess jam-like filling. You already know what my response to that is. Service was friendly and efficient. Those of you who have read my many previous reviews may wonder why I am giving the same 5 stars to a little unpretentious, out of the way place like this the same rating as Eleven Madison in New York, arguably one of the best restaurants in the world (and well-deservedI? The answer is that we moaned with joy just as much at both places, The wonderful tasting food trumps all! The price? 1/15th that of 11 Madison.
