We went here when my family was visiting one evening, so we tried a variety of things. The bandeja paisa was very good and huge, and was easily split between two people (especially if you order a few of the tasty empanadas to go with it). Lots of food for a good price.

We loved our stay at Villa Blanca but the restaurant was all over the map in consistency. The breakfasts were terrific but lunch and dinner really depended on what you ordered. Our first lunch we both ordered soups and hubbies pumpkin soup was great and my chicken soup was sad. One lonely chunk of chicken in a sea of carrots and broth. Dinners were similarly hit and miss. Recommend the fish with plantain crust, salads and chicken sandwich. Skip the pasta (over cooked and gloppy). The waiters are wonderful. Friendly and attentive

I have been to this place at least 10 times in the past four months but did not review it because the restaurant was not listed in TripAdvisor. I have grown to like it so much that thought it worth it spend the extra time to get the place listed on TA. For starters, the food is authentic Cuban. Second, the Mojitos are excellent! We have worked our way through the menu (see photos) and have definite favorites: The pulled pork is AMAZING! They cook it their own brick oven and the meat comes out juicy and flavorful.In addition to the restaurant, at night, there is a great bar scene with a lot of regulars. There are mojitos, karaoke and even dancing. Sometimes they also have live entertainment. In any event, if you live in the San Ramon area, give it a try. Otherwise, if you are traveling from San Jose through Hwy 1, it makes for a refreshing stopover.

My wife and I were looking for something to eat when we stumbled upon Nazca. The food was excellent the service was friendly, we were there on a busy futbol night. I had the fajitas and my wife had the filet mignon which they served her two pieces. If you are in need of food especially late at night this is a great place to go.

Peli's is a wonder. It has 3 tables that seat 3 people each, and a bar stool that seats 6 people. Most of it's business is take-out. My first time there I had his apple/brie pannini and thought I'd died and gone to heaven. My friend had his Texan hamburger and said she'd join me in heaven. Peli speaks perfect English and learned his craft in Conn., US. Sheesh, I could have sworn that he studied in Paris, no joke. And I'm a cooking snob.There is absolutely no ambiance at Peli's. But it's a great place to people-watch. Just enjoy your food, and you will. Order the onion rings.

Es una casona de campo, moderna y rodeada de jardÃn, muy agradable. La comida puede mejorar; hay platillos sabrosos pero el que probé me quedó debiendo. Al curry le faltaba sabor y estaba hecho una sopa, sin embargo, probé el ceviche que estaba delicioso, asà como la ensalada de falafel. El pan de masa madre con quesos y cebollino estaba muy bueno. El servicio... deficiente; quien nos atendió se olvidó de nuestra orden y nos sirvieron 45 minutos después. Creo que les falta organización, aunque se esmeraron por hacerlo bien. Están a tiempo para mejorar, volveré a comprobarlo.

My wife and kids ate at several restaurants in Costa Rica, this one was by far the most memorable one. They have a lot of items on the menu, so I recommend asking the waiter for the most popular dishes. The garlic lemon shrimp and spring rolls were fantastic! The owner happened to be making fresh dumplings that day, so we ordered some. The staff was really friendly and the owner spoke English. Overall great experience!Thanks for sharing your experience Mr. Parson we hope to see you soon with your family. Have a nice trip back to London!

So we decided to leave La Fortuna a little early due to the heavy downpour and the probability of heavier traffic but didn't consider that we had no idea that we would be ready to eat by the time we reached San Ramon.As luck would have it, we saw that several others had apparently been in a similar situation and we decided to stop and give Chepes a try.We drove by without stopping the first time because it looked closed. Thankfully, we went around the block and this time we got out to check - turns out the restaurant was open but because they didn't have any customers, they had turned the lights out!Glad we stopped because this ended up being one of our favorite meals from the trip. We had a farm burger, chicken caprese and a cajun shrimp dish. All cooked to perfection with just the right amount of spice.Our server was very helpful and her suggestions were perfect! Super clean dining room and restrooms and the prices are very reasonable!We'll stop in San Ramon for Chepes again!
